Fantastic location with spectacular views, gorgeous rooms and great dining. Always a great experience staying here, especially in the premier rooms with balcony. Many activities are accessible right from the lodge.

I had such a bad experience. there was not even a good path to go to the room. just terrible. no air conditioning in hot summer, no fridge for cold water, not even soap in the washroom. I have never been in such a hotel or lodge.

A nice break from the craziness of downtown Banff, but only a couple of minutes by car and about a 25 minute walk down the mountain. Hotel staff are extremely friendly, and expect warm and helpful service all around. The room is charming with a wood burning fireplace, we had the premium room with the clawfoot tub ensuite which is a wonderful option on a relaxing holiday. The mattress was very comfortable as well. From a maintenance and cleaning perspective, the room needed a little bit of work, but this wouldn't stop us from staying there again. Read less

We booked a two night stay in a premier room for our 10th anniversary weekend. We totally understand that a pandemic has created many challenges for businesses in the tourism sector and we have taken that into account in our review. Our stay started with a smooth check in with very friendly staff. Our room seemed clean and tidy but did not have many towels and no coffee making facilities. On closer inspection we found the sheets to be stained with food or blood (we weren’t sure which). We spoke with the manager and he offered to move us but we felt the main issue was the sheets and did not wish to pack up and move at that time of the evening, so a staff member brought fresh sheets. Due to the pandemic we had to change the bedding ourselves because staff aren’t permitted to do so. They also gave us small discount on our room and a complimentary bottle of wine. Beyond this we struggled to get fresh towels and additional toiletries for our room. When requesting things from the front office it took a very long time for them to arrive, leading us to think they are very under-staffed. There was no iron or ironing board in the room as described and we had to go and collect one from the main office. I did speak to the management about our experience and they were willing to hear my feedback and did offer a free night to give us the chance of a better experience. This was a very nice gesture. Overall, I think they did their best to acknowledge our experience and compensate us. However, I feel the service being offered to guests does not reflect the price point, especially as none of the hotel amenities are operational. Read less

The team at the Customer Service desk were amazing with getting us situated and went above and beyond on following the Covid guidelines. Our room was perfect. It had everything we needed. Bed was so comfortable! Loved the spacious bathroom. I can't wait to return this fall/winter so that I can experience the wood burning fireplace in the room. Read less
