Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre

Canmore, Banff

The hotel

This is small-town Canada — but that doesn’t mean it scrimps on big attractions. Just a stroll from Main Street and the charming six square blocks that make up downtown Canmore, this mountain-foot hideaway has all those essential outdoor pursuits on its proverbial doorstop, from hiking and biking to skiing and river float trips. But it’s also close to less typical ones, like Elevation Place, with its indoor climbing zone and aquatic centre. You don’t have to leave the hotel for a dip though, with Coast Canmore’s own indoor pool and hot tub having views out to the surrounding mountainscape. And you can get closer to that mountain air, with a drink around the al fresco fireplace on the hotel’s patio, before heading inside for specials like charcuterie and cheese boards, and ‘oyster nights’, at Table Food + Drink.

We stayed here for 4 days whilst exploring the rockies. The location was great with canmore brewery only steps away (food there was fab) and only took 15mins to walk into the town. Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and it was an ideal base for exploring from. Would definitely stay there again.

Booked this room for 2 nights, paid over 600.00, am deeply disappointed that they only have 2 Wheelchair Accessible rooms out of 164 rooms and only 2 parking spots, there was an event happening and the only true handicap spot, was taken, they have another spot, that they painted a symbol on, but we could not even open the slide open doors on the… Read more
Booked this room for 2 nights, paid over 600.00, am deeply disappointed that they only have 2 Wheelchair Accessible rooms out of 164 rooms and only 2 parking spots, there was an event happening and the only true handicap spot, was taken, they have another spot, that they painted a symbol on, but we could not even open the slide open doors on the minivan on either side, I had to crawl across the vehicle and climb out of the back. My bf has cerebral palsy and is not able to walk, and is confined to a wheelchair, the staff was friendly, but the accommodations were completely disappointing and not accessible. The bathroom door opens inside the tiny bathroom, the roll-in shower has edging that prevents it from being an actual roll-in shower. There is no room to turn around, the shower chair doesn't have anything to secure the user into the chair, which would make for a terrible fall, the sink in the bedroom doesn't have enough room under it to fully be able to wheel the chair under it to be used properly, very disappointed for such an expensive room. The mini fridge in the room, was sealed so tight that I actually dislocated my shoulder trying to open it, not sure how they expected someone in a wheelchair to utilize that fridge either. Read less

We decided to eat in the bar on the first night after our drive up from Calgary and although the food was good we did think it was overpriced for some items. Good overall though. Read less

We stayed here for a wedding and had a wonderful time. The room was very clean and comfortable. This hotel was a great location - about a ten minute walk to downtown area and other amenities. The hotel was easy to access from the highway. Would recommend this hotel because it is a good location, comfortable and very clean.
