Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre

Canmore, Banff

The hotel

This is small-town Canada — but that doesn’t mean it scrimps on big attractions. Just a stroll from Main Street and the charming six square blocks that make up downtown Canmore, this mountain-foot hideaway has all those essential outdoor pursuits on its proverbial doorstop, from hiking and biking to skiing and river float trips. But it’s also close to less typical ones, like Elevation Place, with its indoor climbing zone and aquatic centre. You don’t have to leave the hotel for a dip though, with Coast Canmore’s own indoor pool and hot tub having views out to the surrounding mountainscape. And you can get closer to that mountain air, with a drink around the al fresco fireplace on the hotel’s patio, before heading inside for specials like charcuterie and cheese boards, and ‘oyster nights’, at Table Food + Drink.

We planned a quick getaway to Canmore. We arrived after our hike and check-in was quick and easy. The room was basic but clean, not much storage for long term stays but we didn’t mind. We showered before dinner and headed to the restaurant. The restaurant was amazing! Our server was amazing, very accommodating, chatty and friendly. The sleep was okay - but the beds are comfortable and warm. We used the pool and the hot tub in the morning which was great because it was just the two of us. We overall had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend. Read less

Excellent service at the reception, good restaurant on site, cosy bedrooms and hotel close from downtown. Excellent coffee place near the hotel: Beamer’s : best Breva coffee ever ! I walked there every morning.

From when I arrived to when I left the staff was excellent. The room was what you'd expect; it was very clean but a bit small and not set up for a big guy like me. I found the bed to be a bit hard for my liking so it made it a bit difficult for a restful sleep. You can't beat Canmore as a location and the hotel was centrally located and easy to… Read more

I found the bed to be a bit hard for my liking so it made it a bit difficult for a restful sleep. You can't beat Canmore as a location and the hotel was centrally located and easy to find. It's not far away from anything. I found the restaurant was over priced and would have liked them to offer a breakfast buffet. The food was tasty, though. Overall, it didn't blow me away but it was an enjoyable stay. Read less

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this hotel because the rate seemed too good to be true, but it was great! The staff were all friendly. The room was clean and modern with a little dining table and mini fridge. I really liked that if you declined housekeeping everyday you got a free Rocky Mountain soap or voucher for the restaurant! The location was a pretty 10-15 minute walk to town. I also liked that they had a spot to fill up your water bottles my the front desk. I was there for work and we had several meals from the restaurant and they were all very tasty. I am sure the rooms cost a lot more in summer, but in late February/early March this was a steal in my opinion. I would definitely stay again. Read less

We definitely recommend the restaurant. The service and the food were exceptional. It made our stay quite memorable. The fireplace and the outdoor fire on the patio created a warm and inviting ambience.
