Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre

Canmore, Banff

The hotel

This is small-town Canada — but that doesn’t mean it scrimps on big attractions. Just a stroll from Main Street and the charming six square blocks that make up downtown Canmore, this mountain-foot hideaway has all those essential outdoor pursuits on its proverbial doorstop, from hiking and biking to skiing and river float trips. But it’s also close to less typical ones, like Elevation Place, with its indoor climbing zone and aquatic centre. You don’t have to leave the hotel for a dip though, with Coast Canmore’s own indoor pool and hot tub having views out to the surrounding mountainscape. And you can get closer to that mountain air, with a drink around the al fresco fireplace on the hotel’s patio, before heading inside for specials like charcuterie and cheese boards, and ‘oyster nights’, at Table Food + Drink.

This was a very good hotel. The furnishinings in the room was basic and your views were a bunch of trees outside the window. Easy access to everything but all in all a pretty basic hotel where the only thing you would do is sleep.

Nice hotel. Overpriced, hot tub was closed, and they aren't doing any housekeeping during CoViD, which I wasn't aware of. Still a bit of a walk to downtown, but an enjoyable one. Try the river walk. They've improved the boardwalk.

Nice hotel and a reasonable price. The pillows could have been a better quality, but overall I would recommend this hotel. Good location and a very cozy feel. I don’t know why this has to be 200 characters.

Location was great! We were able to walk to restaurants down town without needing to get a cab. We stayed on the top floor, so although we didn't have a balcony, we had a nice mountain view. Was a little costly, even with the deals that were on, but the hotel itself was nice. We would probably return!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great place, but not all staff wearing masks.

Great place, but would have liked to see all staff wearing masks at this point. Otherwise, nice rooms, and short walk to everything. Great hikes minutes away, beautiful pub just out the door, and some other great shops very close too.
