Organized a 3-night conference here in November 2019 and have nothing but positive things to say about it. The Rimrock is located a 5-min drive outside of downtown Banff, so it's not really within walking distance but the secluded nature of it is what we were after, trying to keep conference attendees in one spot for great social and scientific networking. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Banff Upper Hot Springs and to the gondola. The conference floor was extremely well laid out, with spectacular views of the mountains. The room was big enough for our 250+ attendees, and ample place in the foyer for buffet and sponsors. Hotel rooms were clean and spacious, not ultra modern, but fit wth the vibe of the hotel. Commons spaces such as the lounge and bars were also quote nicely kept and decorated. Food and beverage served was excellent throughout the conference, and the staff was superb throughout the meeting. Can highly recommend if you're planning on holding a meeting here. Read less

This is our favourite place to stay in the Bow Valley. They dealt with the covid 19 pandemic graciously and respectfully. I wouldn’t expect anything else from the Rimrock. Always a class act. We cannot wait to return in July.

We stayed here with our kids at the beginning of March (beginning of the Covid-19). I’ll admit we got a deal on this hotel, but it sure wasn’t worth a penny more. Rooms were small and dated. They were clean, but in a hotel that boasts its views ours was of a wall and parkade (see photos). Our room had the usual overpriced water and snacks in it, but the one flavored water was over a month expired, and the one container of Pringle’s has the seal broken on it already (we informed the front desk, but they were never replaced). The Primrose restaurant is priced like a 4 star hotel ($20+ for an omelette) although I will say it was a decent size and tasty. However there was dried food splattered up the wall next to our table (photo) and when they are emphasizing increased hygiene due to Covid, this should have been cleaned on a regular day. The Primrose washroom even boasted dried blood on the wall of the women’s washroom (I’m guessing it wasn’t from a cut on a finger either. Again, photo). The pool was nice, but the loungers were old and falling apart (photo). Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. My wife has a service dog, and to them that meant we had to be in the pet section, with barking dogs. I understand their thinking, but if they vacuum the room it removes the allergy issue. So she got punished and denied a regular room for her disability. I will say all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. I really can’t say a bad word about them, especially in a time when that industry could be going sideways they were nothing but professional, so bravo to them. In all it was Ok, some poor hygiene, But I’ve stayed at better Best Westerns. Read less

Everything... they didn’t correct it The cake was the wrong flavour and the was leaning a lot .... The set up was wrong and facing the wrong way. They blamed it on someone else but I didn’t buy it They got mad at my sister for telling me that the cake was leaning They had no communication on the wedding day with me They only stepped in on the easy ways and places where the event needed the coordinator she was no where to be seen I told them I wasn’t happy and they didn’t seem to care probably because you pay up front . Then out of 14,000$ spent they refunded 200 because of the mess up The cake alone was 1200 and nothing on it was right... I’m warning you . Don’t get married here . For those who think I am over reacting . It was honestly was bad that they sister and her fiancé are now waiting an extra 2 years to get married because they want a wedding planner . My wedding scared them because so much went wrong ( on rimrocks part) Read less
