Shocking to have had guests stay here. I have booked rooms regularly for clients, friends, families, executives, ministers for the past 20 years and never have I been asked for a paper authorization form for "additional security measures" How is someone's cc details on a piece of paper after they booked through your OWN website better? Are you telling your customers your online booking is not secure? In any case It is pretty obvious that the client that I had booked for who is a visible minority was racially profiled by Marriott and I had to go through additional barriers just to have her and her husband stay. I spoke to checking, I spoke to the General Manager, I emailed Marriott customer service and then called in and asked to be transferred to a decision maker. They continued to demand an archaic process claiming additional security measures needed to be done. Racism. If this is your policy it should be consistent, there is an impossibility of enforcing this consistently without updating your online checking and booking and it smells of racism pure and simple. If you think it is not, it is widely open to it and either way needs to be immediately addressed. These individuals crossed an international border via airplane that I booked and these barriers were not faced. Read less

When we finally made it too our room there was a note waiting for us. It was a note welcoming us to the hotel and if we need anything just ask. Wow, never had a note welcoming us before. If you are a Marriott member like we are, it really makes a difference. We had a free continental breakfast every morning in the concierge room on the 24th floor. Also, during the day all the free snacks, fruits, yogurt, and bottles of water you want. Anyway, go and enjoy a first rate hotel in Calgary. Read less

Good hotel, location great for Calgary stampede. Rooms great and modern with settee and great bathroom. Book a room that gives you access into the executive lounge, well worth it, with complimentary breakfast and drinks and eats 24 hours.
