Book straight the hotel if you want to save money skiing too. We booked through trip advisor and we wanted to ski too but had to pay an extra $150 because chateau wouldn’t give us the stay and ski deal. Rooms were good and clean. Coldest pool ever. Nobody wanted to swim in it and everyone huddled in a crowded hot tub. There’s also no restaurant… Read more

Being relocated was such a blessing in disguise! At the Chateau, we were in town, less than 15 minutes to drive anywhere. We had the Jasper Suite which was such a nice room. A large jetted tub that fit me comfortably, both width and height wise. We loved the water pressure in the shower and the King Sized bed was glorious! Nice view of the mountains as well. Chateau Jasper was so great when I told them that we were inconvenienced at first being relocated, because our main reason for booking Pocahontas was for the kitchen so we could save money and cook. When I asked if they would consider complimenting the breakfasts we had at Lobstick Lodge, they did! Such great customer service. My only room for improvement suggestions would be to advertise on the website that mini fridges are available in the suites (the website only says kettles for the suites). Also the pool is really cold at first, but once you start swimming around it gets better. The hot tub is nice too. Also, I wish our staff member would have told us about the underground parking, we didn't realize until the day before we checked out that we had it for use because we weren't told when we checked in. Overall, this hotel was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again! Read less

We had a week stay here between Christmas and New Year. We arrived late and check-in was easy and friendly. They were expecting us. Room given was with two double beds. Room was large enough and the comfy beds can accommodate and adult and a child. So the room will be good for a family of up to four people. It was nice to have a fridge an microwave in the room. Bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent and clean (hot water, yeah!). However note that the bathroom is rather small, so during rush hour in the morning something to keep in in mind. We liked: -Underground parking and the easy access to the room. -Free WIFI in the hotel was good, never experience issues. -Friendly staff; -Quite rooms and good beds. Room for improvement: -Pool was a bit cold, please heat it up a bit (they used lots of chlorine. So do NOT wear you nicest bathing suit as you may end up with a different color after a week of swimming as we experienced); -Breakfast at the nearby Lobstick hotel was ok, but they need to clean /replace their dishwasher as the plates and cups were often dirty and they had stains on it. So the fresh plates & cups were actually not clean.. yikes :- -The Chateau Jasper had no place to dry your skies or ski boots. @Chateau Jasper please fix this. I have been skiing for 30 years now and this was the first hotel that did not have a heated ski-room. Overall, we would return if they fix the above issues. Read less

This place is well located, friendly, allows for dogs, clean, warm, and has a well used pool and hot tub. Gym...no gym here, despite website. Lots of character and would recommend to friends and family. Check in was super easy and it has underground parking.

l booked a room here for myself and my dog weeks ago through zenhotels as part of a ''round robin'' skiing trip in BC some weeks ago and paid for the room IN FULL IN ADVANCE. l an email on the 12/12 at around 2.30am (charming) from zenhotels saying that the hotel would be closed over Christmas. The email was not a ''company one'' and did not even contain a phone number, i have to send 3 emails asking for a phone number, on the third one they sent me a number , but ''forgot'' to add the country code, so it was useless. The alternative offered was not suitable. l have a public post from them promising to email me and make it right, that was 2 days ago and i havent heard a thing. So, with my trip starting in 4 days, what do you think my chances are of finding a suitable room in Jasper now, i can tell you ZERO. Being that i now have no accomodation in Jasper i have now had to cancel the first leg of my first holiday years! THANKS Zen and Chateau jasper for ruining my holiday Read less
