We used to stay here frequently during ski trips with our kids, but had not been here for about 10 years. We had many happy Christmas memories and wondered how the place might of changed. We needn't have worried. Even with new ownership, the same quality had been maintained and the updated rooms were still clean comfortable and quiet. The included… Read more

We needn't have worried. Even with new ownership, the same quality had been maintained and the updated rooms were still clean comfortable and quiet. The included fridge and microwave was a nice touch. Room was large with comfortable beds and even with sports teams staying in the hotel, it was dark and quiet at night. The only drawback was that the attached restaurant was closed. Read less

I found the hotel to be clean, spacious and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. The room that I had was clean very well equipped and a pleasure to spend some time in. The restaurant although closed to other guests was very good. The food was just what was needed after a day on the slopes. The bar was closed, only opened at dinner, however,… Read more

The restaurant although closed to other guests was very good. The food was just what was needed after a day on the slopes. The bar was closed, only opened at dinner, however, this was not an issue as the bar at the hotel next door (Lobstick Lodge) was open. All in all a great hotel which made a potentially stressful school skiing trip very successful. Well done all and thank you. Read less

Chateau Jasper was comfortable and quiet! Our room was large with two huge double beds, a little kitchen area with sink, microwave, coffee machine, fridge and kettle. There was a selection of teas and coffees. The bathroom was nice, clean and modern. We stayed here for three nights and had no complaints. There was free underground parking, and we were allowed to leave the car for a couple of hours after we checked out. The restuarant wasn't open during our stay, but they offer $10 vouchers for a buffet breakfast in Lobstick lodge, which was the next building along. (The breakfast here was good, especially when we compared the cost to eating out). They also give you a 15% off voucher for dinner in one of the other Mountain Lodge hotels. There is a pool here, we didn't have a chance to use it, so can't comment on what it is like. Chateau Jasper was roughly 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Jasper. The Jasper discovery trail also goes past the back of the hotel. They don't have a guest laundry but we were able to use the laundry at the Lobstick Lodge. The reception staff were friendly and checking in and out was easy. When we checked in the receptionist gave us lots of information and it was very helpful. Read less

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the skiing, dining and shopping. On arrival, check in was very fast and efficient. Lobby is very nice and accessible. I really liked the underground parking as i was able to take the elevator and was almost right beside my room. no complaints about this property! It was in a great location (off the main strip) with a short walk to downtown Jasper. They had fully stocked room amenities: Kurig, large TV, fire place, comfortable beds and the toiletries were amazing! Also it was walking distance to downtown. The views of surrounding area were amazing. Good food options just within walking distance. I would recommend this place for anyone. from single people to families, seniors and even business people. Overall I give this place 5 stars all around. Please stay here when you are in Jasper, ALberta. Read less
