We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to the Rockies. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the shops and bars but has plenty of free parking. Our room was large and clean. Our safe didn’t work which was annoying and we had tea and coffee making facilities but no cutlery ! There was a fridge and large tv. We didn’t use the onsite restaurant but… Read more

Arrived at the hotel expecting something a lot grander. Reception staff welcome was great, room was fine and roomy. The “spa” facilities were unavailable due to an annual service. It was pouring with rain so we decided to eat in the restaurant. My fishcake starter was very nice, my husband’s salad was bland. My burger was verging on inedible and… Read more

It was pouring with rain so we decided to eat in the restaurant. My fishcake starter was very nice, my husband’s salad was bland. My burger was verging on inedible and my husband’s steak was the same. Don’t bother eating in the restaurant!! We went out for breakfast the next day. It was still pouring with rain so the walk into the town seemed quite a long way!! The reception staff came up trumps again when they very helpfully checked our train departure time as we checked out. This saved us from missing the train altogether!! Full marks to reception staff. We were impressed with this hotel on our first visit and so decided to return this time. Good airy clean rooms and on site restaurant. A bit of a walk into town which we knew wouldn't be a problem for us but we did here some people commenting adversely on the distance. (15 minutes walk max). We booked a standard room and found ourselves in the Prime Minister's suite! A huge room with comfy settee and super king bed with jacuzzi bath. The restaurant offers a limited choice of food which is pretty good to be fair. However the service whilst pleasant and polite did show up a lack of experience or training of the few staff; sometimes too fast other times too slow but always friendly - i think they did their best. Prices are cheap. Read less

Chateau Jasper conjured visions of a high quality hotel. In fact the decore was dated and the air conditioning in our room was all but non-functional. The swimming pool was nice but too cold. The spa was excellent but noisy. The gym consisted of 2 pieces of equipment in a poor state of repair and a few basic hand weights but no bench. We did not… Read more

With ample free parking, we had room 224 overlooking the side car park and mountains. The room had a free safe, fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and the heating/air con was great. We never used the pool or had anything to eat at the hotel. We walked one night to jasper which took about 10-15 mins but it was a nice walk (bring bug spray if it’s warm out). Overall, a brilliant stay and I would recommend to anyone staying in Jasper. Read less
