When I reported it, housekeeping gave me an orange citrus air freshener to spray. It did not work. We went to a gas station and bought fresheners to hang on fans to make it bearable. Beware! We were beyond disappointed in our stay. Cons: 1-The room was much smaller than pictured and it smelled terrible. When I reported it, housekeeping gave me an orange citrus air freshener to spray. It did not work. We went to a gas station and bought fresheners to hang on fans to make it bearable. Carpet and couch were visably dirty, bathroom wallpaper was also very dirty. 2- The walls and floors are thin. You hear every noise above you. Both nights security had to attend rooms in our hallway due to noise concerns. We were next to housekeeping and we heard every page through the walls at all hours of the night. 3- Poor communication. I called the week before to see if the pool was open because my daughter got a mermaird fin for her bday and wanted to use it. They said no but had arrangements to use the pool at the Marmot and just to book a timeslot when we got there. On arrival, the girl behind the desk had no idea what I was talking about and the ?manager guy behind her said we don't do that and just gave me my keys. No offer to look into it. I asked the girl to call the Marmot and she said okay like I was bothering her. I called the Marmot myself and the lady there said that I wasn't the only one who was told that. They did get us a 30 minute time slot the next day, but that is credit to the Marmot staff and not Lobstick. Also I showed them my pursuit card to add to my reservation and they were all confused. The guy behind the desk said he had never seen a Pursuit card (weird since he said they ARE part of the Pursuit group of hotels). Pros 1)- the beds were comfortable and clean. The Marmot, Tonquin, Jasper Inn and Suites are on the same street and all looked much better kept up from the outside. We would have left but Jasper was all sold out. Look elsewhere. Read less

It was our first time to visit a hotel since travel was allowed during the pandemic. Many hotels were closed in Jasper but the Lobstick was open and was reasonably priced. It was very busy with travelers and was almost sold out which was a surprise. They were following distancing protocols when dealing with staff and cleaning rooms. Restaurant… Read more

Hotel is about 20 minutes from the town centre and it’s a straight flat walk so not too hard. Indoor pool and health suite small but fine, outdoor spa pool great but again small so ok if hotel is quiet but could get busy.. we had a kitchen in our room which was great as we did find eating out expensive.

My daughter lost her stuffy dog Koko in the room. We called back a few days later, and the hotel staff found him. After making arrangements for delivery, Koko is home now! Older hotel, as all are in jasper, could use some updating in wallpaper (starting to peel). But, most concerning was advertised as having a restaurant and lounge. Apparently, they closed them due to slow season. Never mentioned that in reservation. They have a breakfast buffet for 13.99. And a Starbucks counter that closes at 2:00pm. There are a… Read more

Apparently, they closed them due to slow season. Never mentioned that in reservation. They have a breakfast buffet for 13.99. And a Starbucks counter that closes at 2:00pm. There are a few close by restaurants, but, we would have liked to have known that they no longer supported one. Pool and hot tub was sufficient and quite clean . Parking lot was not cleared out lately and was very icy . We had a kitchen with a separate bedroom which was very roomy and sufficient. Read less
