We stayed at this lodge as part of an overall tour package so cannot comment on pricing or value for money. The lodge itself is located just a short walk from the town centre of Jasper. The rooms were nothing flash but were clean, tidy, well furnished and comfortable. We had two large beds in our room which is more than can be said for the another more up market city based hotel that we stayed at along the way. Regrettably due to other commitments we did not spend a lot of time at this hotel but would recommend it just the same. Read less

The rooms are in effect small apartments with a kitchen/lounge/diner as well as a decent sized bedroom but rather small bathroom. As many others say this establishment is in need of a refurb and updating but it is clean and tidy; it dosn't provide any catering outside its buffet breakfast but as a group we did eat in the upstairs restaurant one… Read more

As many others say this establishment is in need of a refurb and updating but it is clean and tidy; it dosn't provide any catering outside its buffet breakfast but as a group we did eat in the upstairs restaurant one night with food provided by an outside caterer who did a good job.I suspect the hotel survives primarily by catering for groups passing through on tours but if customers keep making negative comments there may come a time when tour group operators look elsewhere. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly even finding me an umbrella to use one wet night! Read less

Our family group stayed a night here 2 days back! Comfortable rooms with great beds! Clean and well maintained! Nice indoor pool and hot spa pool, at the basement! A ramp to pull up our big check in bags at the entrance, would have been a great help to seniors like us.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Canadian road trip from Vancouver to Calgary - please see my other reviews. There were four of us in the party, and we travelled with Air Canada from London. I stayed at this hotel for three nights whilst visiting the sights of Jasper. The hotel was well located and clean. We had some issues with our rooms on arrival and were upgraded to deluxe rooms from standard. We still had a few issues, but I have to say that the staff at this hotel were excellent and did their best to sort out the problems. I think the hotel basically just needs refurbishing and it would then be very good. The beds were, however, very comfortable and the shower was good. One of the staff members even, very kindly, sorted out our clothes in the dryer one evening so that we could go for dinner and collect it on our return, because it was in use earlier on, and this was very much appreciated! So well done to all the staff! The hotel also has a nice little cafe at the front that serves Starbucks drinks. This was very nice and we used it several times - good staff in there too. I think this could be made bigger if the hotel was refurbished, and then some seating could be put inside - as there is presently no room for seating in there. We enjoyed our stay in Jasper, and also had a lovely trip on Maligne Lake in perfect weather. Read less

We recently stayed at the Lobstick Lodge for one night on the 18th September as part of our Rocky Mountains Tour. Room- When we arrived into the room, it looked very tired and dated. The room itself had a good size lounge and bathroom but the rest of the room was cramped. For instance, there was not much room between the two double beds and the bed sheets didn’t have a fresh smell. The sheets smelt smokey. It wasn’t pleasant. The beds wasn’t that comfortable either but it’s ok for one night and good if you are very tired and you could sleep anywhere! Overall, I felt the rooms were not up to a 3 star standard and needs a huge revamp to ensure the rooms are in the 21st century. Location- Whilst the lodge was disappointing, the location was good. It’s situated 10 minutes from Jasper and has a few bars and restaurants near the lodge. We recommend eating at the The Inn Grill which serves traditional Canadian dishes. The restaurant is 2 minutes away from the Lodge. Overall we felt the location of the lodge was good. Breakfast- Our room included breakfast and the buffet was ok but nothing special. It had a variety of hot and cold items but the quality was average. The buffet opens from 6:30am and please note if you are a single person or a couple and the buffet is busy you may have to share a table with other guests. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my stay at the lodge and if I came back to Jasper I would stay in better establishments around the area. Read less
