We usually come here every winter when we go skiing. It's a wonderful hotel. Friendly helpful staff, good service, good restaurants, comfortable rooms, pet-friendly. This hotel has a good pool and spa which is nice. The only downside is this hotel is a little expensive, but other than that it's a great hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

See the review by TravelBuds1and2. We had an eerily similar experience. The whole hotel spa combination thing is a fiasco. Communication among the staff is very poor and it shows. The whole place is over priced. The food was poor quality and low value. We had a seared tuna salad that I believe was pre-prepared like airline food. It was not fresh and expensive. I went to get a morning coffee (drip - not some fancy latte) and it was almost $5.00. A lot of places have a coffee station set up in the lobby. We have travelled a lot of places and for a resort destination this was by far and away the worst we had been to. This is very unlike a Marriott Hotel. Compare this location to say the Rim Rock Hotel in Banff and there is no comparison in terms of service or value. Read less

The setting & location are stunning & amazing. The restaurant/cleaning staff friendly & helpful throughout our stay. The food, though overpriced, was always very good! My lower rating is due to the lack of overall communication from the front desk staff. We were told the hotel DID NOT have its own hot tub/pool area, separate from the Nordic Spa. I even called the front desk to ask if they had such amenities & we were told no. There was an additional $200 charge to my credit card-I was not told about, nor was it on my itemized receipt. I had to call the hotel. I was told it was an additional damage deposit that would be credited back to my account. This is fine, but why was this not communicated to me either verbally or on my receipt? There was no literature in the rms advising us of our food options. We spent half our time just trying figure stuff out. An hr to checkin, an hr before we could get in for supper. an hr waiting to get into the NordicSpa just to be told we were now put on a wait list & would receive a call in the next 4-6 hours to access the spa. I felt like I was in Disney Land having to line up for everything. Now it was the Family Day long weekend, but getting better systems in place to handle, manage & communicate would go a long way to improve customer satisfaction. I found this place lacked in its communications & this took away from my enjoyment experience. If they could improve on these simple aspects, I may consider returning, but as it stands, i wont rtn Read less

Second time at Forte and food and the service is as good as the first time. Drove all the way from Calgary just to try their lunch menu as we had the buffet breakfast last year. Thank you for the fast and friendly service Camille, Macy and Teagan!

First time at the lodge and was pleasantly surprised. Facilities were up to date, spacious and overall just comfortable. Food was fantastic. I have no idea how they were able to get all the steaks at the banquet that perfect. Never heard a single complaint. Staff were absolutely awesome.
