Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The rooms were clean and luxurious. View from the room is not great, but looked into the trees. The restaurant was excellent. Really impressed with all of the precautions taken for COVID. Would love to come back!

We checked in last June 20 (Saturday). We are amazed about the place and welcomed by the front nicely. After we checked in, we look around and found out that there are no signs or lines to observe social distance and worst no sanitizer before and after you use all elevators! The hotel was jam packed that time when we try to enter the restaurant but we got greeted by a guy (tall blonde guy) he is wearing a vest and his mask is just like a props below his mouth we got surprised how he treated us he was so rude and unprofessional! Guests behind us that is on que was looking at us and felt embarrassed he talks to us like not a guest but a complete stranger,to our disappointment, we just leave the restaurant and order room service food was great and delicious specially the IL KANANASKIS pizza. We spent the next day roaming around the viewpoints and it was amazing! And do some biking, they offer a bike rental or if you have a bike they sell alot of stuff in the outfitters. There are alot of trails also to hike or do some picnic around the place. Started with bad and ending it in a good note feels like an amazing adventure hopefully they will do something about that staff/manager because I think we are not the only guests who encountered such thing and I recommend this hotel for the place, food, and nature. Enjoyed two nights at the Lodge this week. Such a beautiful setting facing Mt. Kidd in one direction and the valley the other. Lots of free parking within a short walk of the main entrance. Enjoyed two nights at the Lodge this week. Such a beautiful setting facing Mt. Kidd in one direction and the valley the other. Lots of free parking within a short walk of the main entrance. In the middle of COVID, this is the only hotel open onsite so you will see only a limited number of guests. Only one restaurant is open - Forte. If you love the outdoors all the surrounding trails and hikes are available to you, and there are many. Arriving we received friendly service and a big welcome. The odd thing they say is, "your room does no have a balcony or fireplace." Are they trying to disappoint or suggest we could do better by spending more money. After all, I do know what I booked in advance. The room was impeccable and cleaned to perfection. We had two queen beds and a view over the main entrance. We strolled around the grounds and even took a walk down to the pool in the basement - which was open for families. All in all, a real nice escape from the city within an hour's drive made for a relaxing time with lots of outdoorsy stuff to take in. Read less

We’ve stayed here a few times as we absolutely love the serenity and seclusion of this stretch of the Rockies. We were somewhat apprehensive staying in a hotel due to Covid but our fears were quickly abated upon our arrival. The place was constantly and thoroughly being cleaned, staff wore PPE, and certain things were closed to reduce traffic at certain times. This place is so large that there is little fear of not social distancing as long as you’re being aware. Strict rules were in place such as only allowing 6 people to sit at a dining table. Not sure why anyone would think this is a bad thing. This is such a family friendly place and our kids and pets had a blast as always. Kyle and Sam and Alisha at Forte were wonderful hosts and servers and made our visit exceptional. Too bad the Cedar Room wasn’t open but understandable given the early days of things reopening. We did 2 hikes: Black Prince and patarmign cirque. Both beautiful and pet and kid friendly. Can’t wait to come back. Read less

This place is gorgeous! Congratulations…you've just landed at the most upscale, family friendly, pet friendly place in the Rocky Mountains where the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This is not my first time staying and it won’t be my last. My most recent stay was shortly after the COVID shutdown and I was impressed by how they were able to keep my experience as authentic as before the pandemic. I felt safe and respected. If you’ve never been, go…if you’ve not been in a while, go back…it’s a gem in the heart of Kananaskis country (with amazing food!). Read less
