Was pretty disappointed that we could not be accommodated for a late checkout when we REALLY could have used it. That felt like a miss for the high price we were paying. Ate and drank at the hotel restaurant (I believe called Forte's) that night, and also for breakfast. Service was pretty poor, and the buffet was terrible (food was dry, stale, didn't taste good). The room was pretty and the lobby was beautiful, but I wouldn't classify our stay as 'luxury' at all. Read less

Very nice resort in the mountains. Never been here and had a Marriot Free Stay on My Benvoy credit card so thought we would check it out. No other way I would pay $400 CAD unless it was a wedding or some big fancy function. 400 + gas + meals = $1000 weekend pretty fast. Its pretty fancy here and would be nice if you were skiing or something as such to justify coming here. Fancy but would prefer a week in Mexico for the prices. They looked busy so I guess lots of rich travellers and Calgarians still have money. Pros -Gold Elite Check in, upgraded to Jacuzzi Suite which was pleasant. Was offered late checkout which is nice - Property well maintained - Pool, Sauna, Hot tub, steam room all free ( was not explained to me clearly how to access the Sauna through the gym) - Big fancy place - Awesome room - Awesome Bed - Older but well maintained - Parking amazing, free and room for campers, this was in September mind you Cons -At Check in I had to provide Photo ID and Credit card. I am a gold member, all my information is on file. A more subtle approach would be Sir, may I start with the last 4 digits of your phone number or credit card. - Did not get a very good impression where the gym was and you had to go downstairs; - No Real Cream in room was cream with sweetener. ( coffemate or similar) - Not that many coffee capsules In room, ( the coffee machine was great though) - Kettle was not stainless and was covered in dust -Noisy generator thing on east side of building looked temporary and out of place. - Big Dumpster in parking lot looked out of place - Was not explained that the drinks in the lobby are $17 each or around there, ( go to woodys pub they are normal priced and INCLUDE tax!) - Hotel older and elevators need new paneling its brass from the 90s. -Room service automatic 20% gratiuity. this is a little steep. this is Alberta not New York. The food was ok, the pasta or whatever it was, was not, should of complained but that's fine. Probably because it was on kids menu. Wagu Burger good, salad small. Take a way - Overall not bad would stay again only on points. Place was pretty busy. You feel like royalty. Read less

What their web site does not tell you is there luxury accommodations have not been updated for decades, and still have no air conditioning nor windows you can leave open at night. Yes, common areas are beautiful as is the location, but keep in mind you now also have to pay handsomely to use the spa amenities. To top it off, we used points to book one of our rooms and additional points to upgrade this room. We were charged the upgrade points and an additional $150 per night for the room upgrade. Many calls later got a refund but were told that this was all because we “double dipped”. We are loyal platinum Marriott members and found the managers attitude very disappointing. All round far from the first class establishment they tout themselves as. Shame on Marriott for allowing this. Read less

My family and I booked a private room that was catered by the Pomeroy staff. The room was set up perfectly and in great shape. The view you had from the banquet space was beautiful. The kids loved the pizza. One thing that really caught my attention was; one of the kids and I were talking about how much he loved lemons, he was sucking on the lemons that the server provided for coffee/tea, and the server must have overheard our conversation and he brought the kid a cup of lemon juice. He was amazed and happy that he had more lemon juice. Overall the service, food and ambiance was all 10/10. Read less

We just ate at the bar but the food and drinks were fantastic. We played golf the next morning at Mt. Lorette and it was an exceptional course with amazingly spectacular views. It was a bit hard to focus on golf because of the surrounding scenery. Weather was perfect in late August. Definitely would go back and stay here and play golf again. Spa appeared to a huge outdoor facility. Read less
