Emerald Lake Lodge

Lake Louise, Alberta

The hotel

Ensconced in stunning natural surroundings, Emerald Lake Lodge is set in the heart of Yoho National Park, overlooking the jade-coloured waters of Emerald Lake. In traditional lodge style, the cosy guestrooms here each have a wood-burning fireplace and balcony and are set within 24 buildings, scattered amongst the 38-acres of grounds and gardens. The magnificent dining room serves exceptional Rocky Mountain cuisine and the Main Lodge features reading and sitting rooms for quiet contemplation. Due to the lodge's remote setting, there's no mobile reception, but if you wish check on life back home there’s a games room with TV and internet access. During your stay here, take a canoe out on the lake, relax in the outdoor hot tub, explore the numerous hiking trails or simply enjoy the fine hospitality as you take in spectacular alpine vistas and the clear mountain air.

Very special place in the winter. Beautiful views and ambience. Staff great! We will definitely be back again. This is a very special place which Canada should be eternally gratefull to CRMR for "rescueing" from the hands of the bureaucrats back in 1979. They have truely done it justice in their "resto"!

Emerald lake lodge is one of the most serene places on earth. The views are amazing and the “unplugged” weekend is always a great way to go. The quiet of the night when sitting on your balcony makes it feel like you are the only people around.

The setting is absolutely stunning, but the rooms and service are lacking. We attended a wedding that was poorly managed and it was a shame because it had the potential to be so good. This venue needs TLC and proper management

It was a great time. No real complaints minus the stairs in between the cabins being super splippery. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends. Thanks alot to the staff and owners at CRMR.

I was expecting much more from a supposedly world famous lodge. Some complaints: Emerald Lake lodge At check in the employee was not very accommodating. Had difficulties finding a parking spot and told to manage and keep trying. Barely explained what the available services and amenities are In room at first entry: random blanket in room on bed like someone had used the room Lounge: menu dirty and had boogers or some food material that seemed like it “World class dining” with very few vegetarian options Trash bag kept outside our room door. Keys to room given without ring or keychain like they want you to lose them so they can charge you. Bath tub doesn't drain so you're standing in a pool of dirty soap water Only provided with half used roll of toilet paper and no extra rolls Turn down service: soap replaced in bathroom but toilet paper which is almost finished wasn't replaced.
