Liked our room for size but being on main in court yard to dark like being in a basement suite . Would chose upper floor . Beautiful hot tub closed. Includes a basic breakfast but good we had the one ones to go.

We were to stay at the Fox Hotel for 3 nights. The room that we were initially provided had several issues, the Maintenance Department tried to fix it, however our patience was running out. We went to Front Desk and mentioned the problems to Norella - the Front Desk Supervisor, she was very calm and listened to our discomfort story. She upgraded us to an excellent loft and that made this stay the best one for our entire trip which included Jasper and various other stop-overs we took from Toronto to the Rockies. The loft had 2 TVs, all kitchen facilities, a great view and a patio. Norella made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Read less

We loved the fireplace, 2 tvs, and the large expansive views of the outdoors and mountains facing west. Great sunset views. Hands down our favorite part was the patio. We were initially concerned about the light waking us up; however, they have two blind systems that makes the entire condo black outed at night. There is a set of stairs as it is a loft. We have no problem with stairs, but this is most certainly not wheelchair friendly. The room had an impressive up-to-date heating and cooling system. Friendly service. We look forward to returning again. Read less

I will first start this off by saying my family has always wanted to stay at the fox because of the beautiful spa facilities and the location. However I was under the impression the jacuzzi would be open and it was not. I will try to recount the details in chronological order so as to provide an extensive account of our stay here, and how it very rapidly went downhill. When we arrived we were given two “queen” rooms that we had requested, but upon entering the rooms the beds were a twin at best and topped with only one substantial pillow that wasn’t at all comfortable to sleep on. The rooms are small but standard yet there is no tea or coffee in the rooms, no iron or ironing board (you will have to ask for these) and the wallpaper is peeling off the walls in the bathroom. Furthermore, there is no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows don’t open so you have no ability to get fresh air when the room is 100 degrees. Last thing about the rooms is that the blinds don’t properly shut so there is about a 2 inch gap at the bottom where light shines through. Subsequently, we complained because we felt that we were being overcharged for what we had received. We were met with rudeness and told to cancel our reservation and move hotels or, pay even more money and upgrade. I have never had that said to me in my life and so we searched for other hotels in the area but by that time it was 6pm and nothing was available. The last thing that was just rather annoying was the breakfast. Breakfast is in the restaurant in the hotel which is open at night and packed with people. Given that, you would think breakfast wouldn’t be a “grab and go” mediocre sandwich but we were sadly mistaken. Overall I would not at all recommend staying in this hotel, for the quality of the rooms and the location pay and extra $50 and stay somewhere else. Read less
