We splurged on a weekend get away to a spectacular location. While you will be considerably lighter in the bill fold it is worth every dime. The weather cooperated and our drive to banff was pretty. We were met with friendly and accomodating staff. The service everywhere in the hotel was top notch. Friendly, attentive and helpful the entire weekend. The views from our room were breathtaking and would be hard to find anywhere else thanks to the big windows and our balcony. We walked to the gondola and enjoyed a great afternoon up at the top. We also indulged in room service for breakfast. HIGHLY recommend this treat. Thanks to warming cart our food and thermos of fresh coffee came piping hot and exactly as ordered. Somebody knows how to make a perfect omelette too. Because this was such a big splurge weekend it meant so much that it was relaxation and rejuvenating. Bed was comfy, warm and inviting The giant fire place in the main room invites you in for a drink While the decor in the room was clean and comfortable it's starting to feel a little outdated. I expect next time we visit we could be in for a change. If you need pampering and relaxation...you are worth the price. Read less

I think in general they just treat you with indifference as you are a one of hundreds of people that enter their Hotel each day, this place lacks warmth and care. As the Hotel is way out of town and no shops or restaurants around I went into their Larkspur Restaurant for dinner. The young lady who wiped down my table did not even speak to me or offer to get me a menu. I would not recommend you eat there, they took 30 minutes to take my order and it was not busy but they served other people that came in way after me. To make matters worse the food made me sick all night, and I had Food Poisoning for the next five days. It was the worse place in all my travels, I recommend you stay in a smaller place down in the lovely town of Banff where you will find plenty of choices for eating and better prices The only helpful person was the Bell boy. I did not feel welcome right from the moment I checked in. I was reminded constantly about the charges and payments. The communication at the reception desk was not pleasant. For a 300$ night stay, the experience was not positive. The invoice was slipped into my room overnight for me to see the first thing when I wake up in the morning. They had already charged my credit card 547.41CAD for incidental costs. I have stayed in 7 star hotels before and this was by far the worst experience. The concierge was very helpful and three stars are for just that one person. Read less

I stayed here for a birthday trip in July 2019 and for 400 CAD a night (not including pet fees or parking) our view was atrocious. I realize they have pet friendly sections in a different area, but the hotel was not full and I have never paid so much money to look into a wall before. The rooms are a good size, the pet amenities provided (dog bed,… Read more

I realize they have pet friendly sections in a different area, but the hotel was not full and I have never paid so much money to look into a wall before. The rooms are a good size, the pet amenities provided (dog bed, treat, and bowl) would be good if I had a larger dog but are not suited for smaller dogs. The bed was comfortable and they did have non-down pillows on request but none of it really washed the taste of the poor value out of my mouth. I'm not sure if it's because it was summer but most the people in the pool and fitness center were resort staff which is fine but was unusual. The facilities are suitable but nothing special. They nickel and dime you with parking and a pet fee every single night, I wouldn't stay here again for the price. Read less

Advised, not at time of booking, rather via text the day of check-in of the $22/day parking charge. A little excessive for a $300/night++ room charge. There were no 'special service touches' I have come to enjoy, such as flavored water(w/lemons or oranges)and fresh fruit. My spouse and I wanted to go to the gondola right upon opening due to inclement weather forecasted and thought we would walk to its base. The conscierge and front desk staff advised to 'just read the signs'following our request for guidance. We have yet to locate these so called signs. Perhaps in the blustering wind, along with the sheet ice, some hotel staff could kindly point out these 'signs'. After 45 min of wasted time we did locate after asking a 4th passerby who spoke english + was aware. We sat down to eat at mountain top and along came the predicted weather, with clouds obstructing our mountainous view. As we were walking back to the hotel we were approached by others who were told to 'just follow the signs'. For such a small area, one would expect MUCH better guidance/service than received.
