In line with other comments, the lodge needs an update. We were on a tour and the hotel caters for large tour groups so to close it would be difficult but it needs it. We had a room on floor three which had a full kitchen. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. No air con though and even in September the room was stuffy. Breakfast was included which is buffet style and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. It's about 20 mins walk to town and 10 to a large supermarket. Unfortunately two of our group had their rooms broken into shortly after arriving. There are no safes in the room so lock your money and valuables away. I'm sure it was a one off but it happened and in a place we least expected it. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating In need of a revamp

Much like the rest of Jasper, this hotel is in need of a revamp. Everything appears dated and a bit tired. It was clean and the staff were friendly enough but that is not enough to make me want to come back.

Cons: The place is old and a bit worn down. Pros: The rooms are big, there is a sitting area with a microwave and fridge, and a separate bedroom with a door to separate it from sitting area. Each area has its own TV. The hotel has a restaurant attached, I think it’s independently run, that offers a breakfast buffets about 20$ CD, not great but… Read more

Had three nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was great and the housekeeping staff had done a great job of both preparing it and looking after the room while we were there. The pool and hot spa were fantastic. So nice to relax in both the inside and the outside spa. Also good to be able to get all our laundry done on site. We also checked our luggage early after arriving on the train and then were able to book in an hour early to get ready for our evening wildlife tour. Thank you for a wonderful stay Lobstick. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Good overall

The place was spacious and clean. The pool was nice with both and indoor and outdoor hot-tub. The rooms don’t ba e air conditioning so that does show the age of the place. An other thing that shows the age of the place would be the noise you can hear with the water running in the pipes. But overall it was a nice place for Jasper
