Birks Hotel is a very classy hotel and staff were amazing, the location is the best and close to old Montreal, shopping district, good restaurants so everything is a short walk away, almost brand new inside of the hote, large rooms and very comfortable.

My favorite pieces of this hotel is that right across the street is the best pizza shop in Montreal, 8 min walk from there is the best ice cream shop (Chocolat Favoris), Mont Royal is within easy walking distance which is a must when visiting Montreal. You've got all the bars, stores, people watching all within a 15min walk (Crescent St for lots of nightlife). You can walk to Old Montreal in 20min, you can't get any more central. As of August 16 (when I left) they are renovating their gym, right now it's 2 cardio machines, but they have a deal with a local gym for $15/day. The new gym apparently will be great. Top notch stay, super comfy beds and the place looks and feels top quality, they put thought into this place for sure. Probably one of my most fancy feeling stays... all for a cost that I feel is reasonable. I'll be staying here again, as long as they don't go and double/triple the price, after my first stay I'm thinking of calling this my go-to spot for my monthly trips to Montreal. Read less

This entirely renovated hotel is great. Rooms are a good size, with all the ameneties one could wish for. Beds and bedding extremely confortable. Reception is efficient as is valet parking ( no choice unless you want to park elsewhere, close by). Many repairs in the cities so noise could be an issue but surprisingly enough, not so. Expensive? Reception is efficient as is valet parking ( no choice unless you want to park elsewhere, close by). Many repairs in the cities so noise could be an issue but surprisingly enough, not so. Expensive? I would say not in its category. Nice and convenient place to stay in Montreal. Like a lot of hotels, the ventilation is not up to par. Air circulation in the rooms makes it difficult to get a confortable heat/ cool environment. But, that is such a problem in almost all hotels that the first one who will really pay attention to it will get my vote. Read less

Great room (very comfortable bed!) and a great location - was there for a short visit only, did not try the restaurant. Simon at the door gave us a warm welcome. Unfortunately the gym was under renovation, so the only thing available was a very small room in the basement with a few necessities. Some additional construction in the area at the time… Read more

The room was spacious and very well appointed ; big bathroom all in marble, furniture and linens were all good quality and well thought, very comfortable. Great bed, it passed my pillow test. Lots of great restaurants nearby and generally well located to the business district, Quartier des Spectacles and Old Montréal. I will be back and will recommend it to our out of town business guests. Read less
