Le Saint-Martin Hotel Particulaire

Montreal, Canada

The hotel

These designer downtown digs are spot-on for the style-conscious traveller. Striking yet refined, it’s been stamped with the AAA 4-Diamond badge, so you know you’re staying somewhere smart. And you’ll see it for yourself as you check in to your glam guestroom, dine at its trendy restaurant, or work out with city and pool views in the bijou 24-hour fitness room. With its soaring floor-to-ceiling windows, Bistro L’Aromate has enough French fancies on its menu to give you a taste of the east coast’s Gallic pedigree, evolving from a lively social stamping ground at lunchtime to an intimate hidey-hole come evening. Le St-Martin Hôtel Particulier may be bang in the buzz of Montreal, but you can escape it all among the mini palm trees by its heated outdoor pool, where the tropical twist sits in contrast to the skyscraper skyline views.

We booked in advanced. Our room was amazing. The fireplace and tub were my favourite. The hotel is so close to everything you need. Minutes from the Bell Centre. The Metro is across the street. Don’t be afraid of a language barrier. Montreal is very bilingual. Friendly ppl. Our hotel staff treat you like family. And it’s not because they are paid. I truly felt a genuine friendliness about them. Outdoor pool with waterfall was romantic at night. The gym was enough to keep us satisfied till we got home. The restaurant is 5 🌟. The whole atmosphere of the city is contagious to the soul. My face was sore from smiling. The Bell Centre was amazing and not like the unruly unfriendly Toronto Rogers Centre. Our agent at the front desk Faysal. The man is as beautiful on the eyes as his personality. The person who marries him will be lucky to see that gorgeous face daily. Lol Our room was cozy. And laid out perfectly. The mattress and goose down comforter made it hard to get out of bed. The stocked mini bar. The decor. Felt like home. I cannot find any faults. The cleanliness was above par. I hope my review helps you to make a great choice to stay at ST MARTIN’S If you go. You must go to Reuben’s for an authentic Montreal smoked meal sandwich. It’s huge. And delicious!!!!! Love this city. Love the hotel. Love the food. Thank you Julee n Jason Bradley Read less

I was extraordinarily disappointed with this hotel from customer service and overall experience. As a 4 diamond hotel and as a VIP guest, this hotel was a complete disgrace. Staff members, specifically, Fyzel and Nabel (both managers at the hotel) were appallingly rude, unprofessional, and unconcerned with guest inquiries. 2 staff members entered my room one night without knocking or announcing their purpose in my room. Front desk service said they’d be looking into it and follow back up with us and never did. 2 days passed and my friend and i decided to follow up since no one else did which is when we encountered Fyzel, who proceeded to raise his voice with us and even tell us “we have no right to be pissed” about the events of people entering our room unannounced. We were also told that the hallways have no cameras which is extremely concerning and raised an even higher concern that essentially anyone with a key can enter our rooms/anyone could kick in the door and rape/kill/rob/harm a guest and the front desk wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. At check out we continued to express our concerns yet again and were asked to sit and wait for a manager. Nabel, the manager, ignored us until after 20 minutes of waiting we approached him. Nabel told us he was “too busy” which proved that the hotel does not care nor respect their guests and their concerns. You will receive better treatment at a Marriott. This is a disgrace of a 4 diamond hotel. Don’t waste your time nor your money. Read less

Comfy bed, but the room is set up strangely and you cant really sit and appreciate the view (if you get the upgraded room). Food was disappointing - few vegetarian choices and what we got was not the tastiest. No vegan options for breakfast so we did the buffet downstairs and it was disappointing. It is a lovely hotel, but nothing excellent enough (service, food, comfort) to give it the 5 stars it aims for. Read less

Very nice hotel, rooms are spacious, excellent services and hospitality, delicious food at Gustavo Bistro. I stayed there for five nights and the hotel gave me complementary early check-in with a big smile. It was a nice experience.
