We decided to stop over in Montreal on our way for our annual ski trip to Mont Tremblant. We chose Le Westin as it was recommended by my BIL and the price was reasonable. The property is relatively new and has a great indoor parking area that is great to keep you sheltered from the winter weather. We checked-in and the front desk associate noticed that we had young kids and asked if we were going to use the pool. My kids love hotel pools. So, the answer was a resounding "yes". He pointed out that the pool has a glass bottom that you can see down into the indoor parking area. He was also able to find a room on the 4th floor (same as the pool) so it was convenient for us to get to the pool. After a few hours in the pool, we changed and walked to Gibby's for a great steak dinner. Overall, a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in Montreal and be close to Old Montreal. The bathroom is great and had a huge shower. Since it's a Westin, the beds are very comfortable. Read less

Over the top rude bellhop valet as soon as I got out of my car asked at front desk to speak to a supervisor. Matt was his name. First the good parts. The room was adequate and had a nice view of the city. The beds at the Westin are always comfortable and the blackout shades worked well. Unfortunately, the valet experience was sub-par and really left us feeling like we didn't want to stay at this hotel. There are so many nice options in the city. I, literally, felt threatened by the attendants who made a huge deal about us stopping for a few minutes to drop our bags off. They apologized to my husband, but never to me. Then in the room the cleaning folks only did an okay job. The coffee cups that were left in the room were used! They were stacked like new cups, but they were dirty - gag. And the shower had hair on the walls. The showerhead was kind of awful, too. The whole experience was less than I expected from a Westin because I've stayed with them many times before in other locations. I guess hospitality isn't what I expect anymore. It was okay, but not great. Read less

We stayed on corner suit of top floor with Harbour view. Also peekaboo view of top of Notre-Dame Dame and other scenic buildings. Room was a good size, hotel was quiet, onsite resto and pool/ fitness center. Room had mini fridge, robes , ironing board and safe. Bed was a bit saggy which was disappointing considering Westins are known for amazing beds. Bathroom limited counter space but otherwise good amenities. Hotel signature fragrance in front lobby is overkill and offensive and I wish higher end hotels would do away with the practice. Read less

The hotel has a nice covered car check-in shielded from the elements for drive-in or walk in guests. The hotel has a nicely equipped gym, next to the indoor pool and sauna. Front desk staff was very kind and efficient on the check in. Concierge was really helpful reserving a few visits and getting us tickets for a few attractions (with discount prices). Rooms are nice and big, bathroom was sort of small but functional. We were on the 17th floor but seemingly facing the wrong way as there was no interesting view of anything but sides of a few buildings. Overall a good value at a fairly convenient walking distance location to old town and other touristy areas. There are plenty of coffe shops, restaurants and part shops in the area (within 5 minutes walk) if you don't want to have breakfast or any other meals at the hotel. Read less
