Aloft Montreal Airport Hotel

Montreal Airport Downtown, Montreal

The hotel

Different by design, Aloft Montreal Airport is no fly in-fly out hotel. Its funky furnishings, playful touches, and fun features make it a place you’ll want to stop and socialise — even when downtown Montréal’s less than 10 miles away offering its own tantalising treats. There’s fitness, food, and fun in store here. Its indoor pool’s open well into the night, while its gym’s open round-the-clock. The menu at its lively W XYZ Bar can be washed down with cool cocktails and mood music, or you can just grab food-to-go at the 24-hour snack stop, re:fuel by Aloft, on your way out to explore Montréal. And they’ve created social spaces for mingling, with a pool table, comfy communal seating, and a fireplace at their re:mix lounge — just try not to be too distracted by the complimentary WiFi access.

The room was IKEA modern and a bit soulless and the bathroom door is mirrored, which gave my wife quite a shock when she suddenly saw her reflection when going to use the toilet during night! It's very near the airport, so guess what- aircraft noise! But this ceased from about midnight to 5am and didn't really disturb us. We didn't try the food options - you could buy some stuff in the lobby. For a short overnight stay very near the airport it was a reasonable rate compared to other hotels and I would do it again in similar circumstances. Read less

We wanted to use the hotel for a one night stop over before driving to Ottawa. We expected it to be a cool hotel being an Aloft, however we were disappointed with the property. The rooms were very dated, and the finishing was very poor. The bathroom was not clean as well. The overall impression was not good. The staff on the other hand are super… Read more

The beds also are very comfortable. Take note though that airplanes do fly over the building and the rooms are not sound proofed. If you are a light sleeper it will be difficult to manage. Read less

Many airport hotels are interchangeable, unremarkable. Perhaps with this in mind Aloft has tried to create an uber cool ambiance to set it apart from the rest. However, this is the problem as it tries too hard to be too cool. When you enter the lobby you're not sure whether you are in an arcade or a theatre complex foyer .Leaving the bedlam of a… Read more

However, this is the problem as it tries too hard to be too cool. When you enter the lobby you're not sure whether you are in an arcade or a theatre complex foyer .Leaving the bedlam of a busy airport I crave a quiet oasis of calm, not a further assault on my nerves. Front desk staff are efficient but not particularly welcoming. The rooms have the feel of an IKEA showroom. Prices for food in the lobby are excessive, even by airport standards. You're five minutes away from Dorval, so that is a plus, but there are many other options near the airport Read less

For a one night stay due to arrival time, this was adequate. But barely. Shuttle service from airport was efficient but pickup could have done with being better advertised. Room was functional - noisy aircon fixed once the off switch was found. Breakfast was lamentably awful. Poor choice, and items charged individually to room. I suspect there are… Read more

This is an airport hotel which meets your basic needs. The check in was quick, they have a shuttle that comes every 15 minutes, the rooms are clean, blackout blinds and there is a small pool. Not hot tub. They have a bar but there isn't a restaurant. They do have some basic snacks for sale but they were pricey. There isn't much around but we did… Read more
