Great hotel! Comfortable beds, excellent staff, concierge was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of pointers. It’s very centrally located and easy to walk places from there. Street parking was plentiful.

Jag is a well located boutique hotel which is close to great restaurants, pubs and shopping. The rooms are modern and immaculate with exceptionally comfortable beds. Best of all was the friendly, helpful service which truly was a stand out. We wondered whether the music theme was a bit much but it added to the experience and fun.

A new hotel in St. John's. Music is not an after-thought...in the decor or playing throughout the hotel. Rooms are well-appointed and spacious, some with extraordinary views of the bay. We were mesmerized watching the huge freighter unload and load the cargo...then pull out with great elegance. We stayed 3 nights with another couple, over 4 days. The staff at the hotel are warm and friendly. Both managers helped...Martha with blip in the reservations and Jessica with a surprise for a friend. Could not have been more helpful and courteous. Fellow guests included a huge family ranging from a few months to grand-parents, a bus full of tourists and business travelers. Wonderful atmosphere for everyone. Breakfast was included and we found it delicious, especially the homemade preserves. Read less

The hotel is great as far as the rooms are concerned. A great bar with plenty of choice. The food in the restaurant was not good. Very strange concoctions with very peculiar tastes. Happily plenty of good places to eat nearby.

Well-located hotel near all of the action on George Street, yet on a quiet section in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. Hotel was 5 years old but looked brand new. Jag lived up to the "boutique" in its title with the rock and roll decor and music, and special touches such doormen, fancier toiletries, and turn down service. Rooms had super comfortable beds with only negative being the sharp baseboard corners . The exercise facility was small, narrow and dark, and oddly was the one space without the rock and roll theme music. Breakfast was not included in rate, but was fairly priced with generous portions and some local specialties (moose sausage, toutons). To top it off, all of the service staff could not have been nicer. If I ever get back to Newfoundland, Jag is where I will stay! Read less
