Our room was dirty when we walked in. The sheets weren't tucked in, I am guessing the previous guests made their bed before leaving. Our modem was blinking green the entire night, which is surprising, because the wifi didn't work. None of our phones had good wifi. Our modem was blinking green the entire night, which is surprising, because the wifi didn't work. None of our phones had good wifi. The hotel is in a good location, but for what we paid with the $17 parking fee, I will choose another hotel next time, that includes free breakfast and working internet. We did put a complaint in at the front desk and was offered a coffee for our troubles. I will personally not choose this hotel again, based on cleanliness alone. We didn't save anything by staying here, and it was a bad sleep. Read less

I like this hotel. Located in a very nice area close to the water and some great restaurants. Staff is friendly, beds are comfortable. Staff in downstairs restaurant are great. Rooms are a little dated but overall this hotel is nice for a few days holiday or a work stay.

If you want to get outside, there are several restaurants and shops a few steps away. My room (both times) was very clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. On my second stay, I had a corner room with a lovely view of Halifax harbour. This hotel is a bit dark and perhaps could use a bit of a refresh, but otherwise is a great choice. The hotel bar has Happy Hour specials and friendly staff. I ate twice in the hotel restaurant, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend it, and will likely stay again soon! Read less

Tina the women at the front desk was very nice with us upon arival. Room was clean and we were satisfied. Very close to the Mall and Casino Halifax. We walked in the pedways to the casino without having to go outside, which was extremely nice during winter. We had a view of Halifax harbour. Nice hotel for a low price.

After being kept awake by noise in the hallways, we got woken up at 7 am by construction/renovations in a near by room. This noise was constant from 7 to 9 am. The room could have been cleaner as there was hair in the bathtub and the soap bar was mouldy. A bit disappointed because we were hoping for a romantic getaway.
