We stayed in a King room. Let us start with the bed. It may be the best hotel bed we have stayed in. I want to take that King bed home. Lots of pillows. I like a fluffy pillow and these were good, but if you are looking for a firmer pillow, bring your own. The rooms are huge. The bathroom was small, but totally functional. Shower was great.… Read more

Besides the incredible bed, the thoughtful touches really make it. The Nespresso maching in room, cream and milk in the mini fridge, Aveda shampoo and conditioner. The staff were friendly and approachable. The buffet breakfast was meh, but overall, having stayed at several hotels in Halifax, this one was really nice. I would definitely go back! Read less

For my three nights that I reserved, I mistakenly reserved one night too early and consequently didn't reserve the proper date on the 3rd night. Instead of just moving the early night to the last correct night, they charged me for the early night and charged extra for the last correct night. They could have easily move the night free of charge and… Read more

They could have easily move the night free of charge and it wouldn't have had any effect on the hotel, but they chose greed over customer courtesy. Read less

Everything about our stay met or exceeded our expectations! It is obvious in all aspects of the facility that it is well ran and staffed with people who genuinely want to enhance your stay there. I arrived the day after Hurricane Dorian. Everything was as it should be. I have stayed here before. It’s close to the Citadel, and across the street from the Public Gardens. The staff is very attentive, and there is always someone available if you need something. The rooms are modern and immaculate. I would stay here again.

Good Morning, Our visit unfortunately timed with the arrival of Dorian. While I respect your notice period, I was discouraged with the result. Our booking was the result of using BMO points, which i later learnt was facilitated by Expedia. Understanding the use of a third party and their collection of the funds, we were under the impression we were still patrons and visitors of your hotel. I am assuming you choose to use expedia and other suppliers to help generate occupancy. However, when I asked, within 24 hours of the coming evening for cancellation, I was told that there was nothing that could be done because of the booking reference. I even inquired as to whether the reservation could be changed to another date, but was told that was not possible. I frequent Halifax and have stayed at your property many times. Also, had we been able to move the one day reservation it would have likely triggered another night paid reservation and dinner at your facility. My intent in writing this review, is to highlight my dissatisfaction with your handing of our concerns. As mentioned above, I understand that a Expedia reservation is not one that has been booked directly, but regardless still is a reflection of your customer service and brand. This experience will likely have us choose another hotel when visiting the city. Read less
