The staff has been amazing. I'm in the Canadian Military and staying with my ship's company in the Westin for two weeks in isolation. The staff have been really helpful not only with missing items, things we forgot at home, but they are helping in ways out of the ordinary. We aren't allowed to leave our rooms for any reason so exercise has been an issue. My passion is cycling so the staff brought me a stationary bike up from the gym! The food has been hot and on time, delivered to 270 of us, without fail. It is gourmet fair and much appreciated. If you stay here, ask for Michelle or Danielle as they can solve anything! Read less

The room was so beautiful with a brilliant sunrise view and comfy bed. Especially, I always feel troubles when sleeping in strange place but at that time, "Sleep well" oil was the best thing that I remembered the most as it helps my sleep more comfortably in the comfy bed. The location was quite convenient to take a stroll to Harbour and Public Garden. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Halifax and definitely stay in this hotel if I have a chance in the future. Read less

They helped to with fast process of check-in and allowed me to early-check-in although I came to hotel 4 hours earlier than check-in time. After checkout, the bellman even helped me to bring my bulky luggage to the bus station. Room was super clean with many useful facilities and had a nice view to the harbor. Especially, they provided room with special amenities such as Sleeping oil, which helped me to relax easily after long-flight. I really loved this special treatment. Unfortunately I did not have much time to try their spa or restaurant, which seem to be very good. I will absolutely visit this hotel again in the future to explore more. Read less

Numerous fans in the hallways so I was not alone. Hot tub broken two weeks and possibly colder than the room. The pool was old and small but fine. Good gym. Very friendly staff and maintenance crew. Tried their best to assist with room temperature. TV signal and wife often unstable. Often no coffee packs or one or two. Coffee was not great - bought my own instant. Tub valve dial thing dripping and difficult to operate. Parking expensive - $20 per day. Ended up parking on the street and spent more the first two days using Westin parking vs the street the next 12 days. Eat breakfast at the Athens on Quinpool - close and cheap. Room was a nice layout and size. Very comfy bed. Room was relatively cleanish. This is a great historic hotel in Halifax that was almost demolished years back. Worthy of 20 to 30 million in renovations or more. Have had better, cheaper stays at far less hotels. Was a decent price and great location. Beautiful hotel and lobby. But I do want a working hot tub and a room that is not 88F with the window open and a fan running in winter. 2.5 stars. Read less
