I loved the food, how clean my room was and the employee (Tim Chirstie). Tim let us check in at a reasonable time and was very welcoming. The pool was surprisingly clean. The view was brilliant and parking was at a reasonable price. Totally family friendly and modern.

Stayed 2 nights here during the Tulip festival. It is centrally located and just 5-7 minute walk to Parliament Hill. Lots of food options nearby. There is a Tim Hortons on the ground floor and restaurant in the hotel. The pool is fairly big and the family had fun in it. We had a room in the 22nd floor and two queen beds for $135 a night. The usual stuff in room, shampoo, hairdryer, fridge, tv. 2 bottles of complimentary water. I have no complains about this hotel. Would I go back. Most likely if I go back to Ottawa. Oh by the way, it's also pet friendly. Read less

We have stayed in many Marriott properties over the years and this was one of the worst stays we have had (ever!). We have stayed in many Marriott properties over the years and this was one of the worst stays we have had (ever!). This is an old hotel with sound and power issues. 2 nights in a row we had to call the front desk and ask for security to be sent to our floor due to noise issues at midnight or later. Some of this was due to groups of people being inconsiderate and going between rooms and talking loudly in the hallways but one of the main issues was that you could hear everything going on the rooms thru the doors and walls. Our room had an adjourning room door so when the neighbours went out and left loud music playing we were left to listen to it until the wee hours. The front desk did respond quickly and send security up but the issue of soundproofing remains. In the morning the power went off in our bathroom when we tried to make coffee using the coffee maker in the room. ?overloaded circuits? Scary when you are on a high floor. When we checked out and mentioned the issues they said they would put a note on the file not to give us an adjourning room in the future. That is all you can do ... really? Will not be returning to this hotel and will have to consider future Marriott bookings. Terrible value for the price. Read less

The service at this hotel is second to none, their staff when above and beyond the expectations. Their rooms are very clean and well maintained, the pool is so nice it is kept at the perfect temperature and I don't think I have seen a cleaner pool. Highly recommended!

I want to firstly say, the staff at this hotel are excellent. Friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. The location is amazing, and the facilities darn good. Unfortunately our stay was marred by circumstances that, perhaps, exceeded the ability of the staff. We booked online, and requested (as it is offered) a feather-free room, it was a special weekend for my wife and I so we elected to pay extra for a club level deluxe room on the 25th floor with access to the club lounge. When we arrived we were promptly informed that the club lounge was closed for renovation, we agreed to stay anyway as we really wanted the view and feel of the Club Deluxe. Upon getting to our room, the room was nicely decorated, fairly modern, with a decent view. We quickly discovered, however, that this was not a "feather free" room. We did not want to bother the staff at such a late hour (11pm), but we decided that health (feather allergy) was more important and we notified the front desk. They promptly offered us a new room, however the room was now on a lower level. This new room was, o.k. at best. Since we had paid for the club room, this room seemed a little dated, the finishes were starting to look worn, the "modern" feel was gone. But we elected to stay, and were awake bright and early to the sounds of the screaming children next door. Luckily they quieted down by noonish, around when we were leaving to explore Ottawa a bit. That evening we heard very little from the noisy neighbours and thought our luck had changed, however at 7am we assured that they were still there. The staff is incredibly friendly, and helped us move rooms at 11pm, so I give them credit for that, but I wouldn't consider the room we ended up with worth the price, and probably won't return.
