Our 17 year old was in Ottawa, on herself and as a volunteer, for some responsibilities commended by her school. She unfortunately caught the flu and became quite ill. Our daughter called home at 9:25pm to share her distress. Being from the Toronto region, as parents, we contacted the pharmacy that was still open at that time on a Saturday night (there were only one in the neighbourhood). However, they couldn't do a special delivery (only weekdays) and they couldn't find ways to deliver medication to our daughter. This is where we called the hotel and Anne at the reception was kind enough to lead and comfort us that she would get the Duty Manager on the task to bring something to our daughter. Sure enough, a few minutes later, we received a call from Wassan, the Duty Manager, saying that she was already at the pharmacy and wanted to know what we needed her to buy for our daughter. Fast forward, not only she bought the medication, took it to our daughter, prepared some tea for her and followed-up later but she refused that we financially compensate for the trouble and for the medication. This is a perfect example of what good people can do, when they are not obligated to do anything like this, but go far and beyond their duties and responsibilities to care for others. Kudos to Anne and Wassam from the Delta in Ottawa who have been amazing. Ladies, many thanks from our daughter and us as parents who are soooo grateful for what you've done last night. It was nicely furnished and modern but a small space as a corner room at that. The buffet breakfast was nice and tasted good. But it costs $26 per person. Which is about $10 more than the Marriot across the street. There was a fire alarm issue on the last night of my stay there. At nearly 4:30 AM until 5:30 AM loud noises and hard to sleep for 1 hour. Apparently there was no fire. There is a Tim Hortons on the ground floor of the hotel, it was very dirty. Plus the Hash browns I ordered were terrible. Avoid that Tim Hortons Read less

Great location, close to everything. Helpful staff although I missed having a concierge. Wonderful breakfast which we got included because I am a Titanium level and the lounge was closed. Self parking garage.

Pros: the room was not overheated; bedtime beats tunes were relaxing; many plugs and cables and connectors for devices; hooks for clothes next to the door; separate kettle for tea, not just a coffee-machine; camommile tea. Cons: TV was on when I entered the room; weak shower power; bathroom door was too close to the knees when seated at the toilet.
