You can tell that they are updating the entire hotel, and are making a good job of it. The kids loved the pool and so did I, nice and heated so no big shock when getting in, which is always a plus in my books ! We loved walking over Alexandra Bridge to Ottawa. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. We had a great time ! Read less

Built in 1985 and renovated in 2010, Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Centre Gatineau-Ottawa is a 3.5-star, pet-friendly hotel (198 rooms plus three suites) just across the river from downtown Ottawa, Parliament Hill, and the ByWard Market with 8,000 square feet of event space. I stayed in room 906, a “deluxe” room (approximately 22 square metres of space) that had a king-sized bed (pillow top mattress and duvet) and a sofa bed. It also had a shower, air conditioning, a desk (with an ergonomic chair and electrical outlets), a mini-refrigerator, a television (42-inch, flat screen), a cordless telephone, a hair dryer, a robe, an alarm clock, a coffee/tea maker, complimentary bottled water, and an iron and ironing board. I found the room both clean and functional, and it only set me back $528 for a two-night stay. Notable property amenities include a pool, a bar/lounge/restaurant (L’Ardoise), a banquet room, room service, a fitness centre, a business centre, meeting rooms, a convenience store, dry cleaning, conference facilities, laundry service, and wireless Internet access. Note that the hotel does NOT provide shuttle service (a taxi ride to Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport [YOW] costs about $35). Breakfast (buffet) is $16 in the on-site restaurant. Look for the hotel at 35 Rue Laurier in Gatineau (directly across the street from the Canadian Museum of History). Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Centre Gatineau-Ottawa is a smoke-free facility. Connecting rooms are available. Check-in starts at 3:00 in the afternoon and is both quick and easy thanks to the friendly, helpful staff. Check-out is at 12:00 in the afternoon (contact the front desk if you need a late check-out). Parking is available on site (underground garage) for $16 a day ($8 hourly) and off site for $13 a day ($5 hourly). Read less

Stayed one night in early May. Hotel was comfortable and quiet. It is nicely connected via pedestrian bridges to government offices. Check out the desk chair in my room (and I'm a Marriott Titanium Elite member). Oh, and the gym is tiny. Don't get me wrong, for a short stay near the govt offices, this is fine. Read less

The front desk attendant Mikael was very nice and kind. I was clearly upset and he was ever so patient. After we checked in he arrived at our room with 2 beverage tickets as a kind gesture after our journey. We ate in the hotel restaurant that evening- great food and service by Samy. Our hotel room is comfortable and the beds are great! Would highly recommend this hotel due to staff, price and close proximity to downtown Ottawa. Read less

CHECK IN : Arrived late on Thursday for a 3 night stay to warm welcome from Mikael and Justin. Two week’s prior had added a night to our 2 night stay. Seems the 819 number goes to centralized reservation bureau somewhere in NA and no communication to actual hotel. This caught night staff off guard yet they (Justin!) were quick to respond and make amends and ensure our stay would be flawless. That he did hands down. I would also like to commend Caroline at front desk who was also very accommodating. The front desk team gets it! ROOM: Room 711 was great with a great view of the museum and all necessary amenities including a bath robe. Enviro friendly bulk soap was efficient. TV large enough to make all actors life sized. Bed a wee bit soft for anyone with back issues but a plethora of pillows to compensate. Quiet and responsive heating system! Freshly renovated bathroom with large shower gave a clean feel! Opted for enviro friendly cleaning once and room cleaned to our satisfaction and adequately second morning. Lovely. L’ARDOISE -Breakfast buffet was excellent and constantly replenished and service was impeccable especially Patricia. Her service made it Four Seasons or Ritz quality. I would go back for her service alone. They will get whatever you want and don’t miss a thing. Sophie at the bar was excellent to communicate the unexpected busy Saturday night delay in food service as I ordered take out. Angus burger was excellent as was the chicken Caesar. We were at a dance competition across the street at the CDN Museum of History so this hotel was ideal as it is literally a stone’s throw and very accommodating to our needs and everyone’s needs (we definitely filled the hotel!) CHECK OUT Parking is perfect and convenient and available until you leave on checkout day, even late. Newspapers available. Flawless WIFI. I recommend La Petite Epicerie du Quartier (5 min walk) for homemade soup and sandwiches (take out) and had delicious Cazza Pizza was fast delicious (thin crust!) and delivered. On week-ends don’t go looking for excitement in the hood: it’s a ghost town- the bureaucrats are gone and so businesses are closed. Pic is a view from our room : architectural wonder r Read less
