The hotel

A unique and contemporary boutique hotel, located in the heart of Old Québec. With over 300 years of history to its name, the Auberge Saint-Antoine is an integral part of the City's history. Steeped in hundreds of artifacts from both the French and English regimes, this hotel is a historian's dream! Dig a little deeper and take part in a historical journey on the hotel's archaeological tour, admire the French cannon, Dauphine Battery (which dates back to 1709), and the many artifact displays. The award-winning four-diamond Chez Muffy Restaurant is sure to satisfy your senses. With exceptional classic French dishes made from the finest local produce, a wine list 700 labels long and stunning views of the St. Lawrence River, you can see why it is as popular with the locals as it is with the visitors! The little visitors are catered for too, with a dedicated children’s program offering children a teddy bear to look after, as well as in-room bathrobes and slippers for use during their stay, simple touches that we are sure will please the most discerning of guests!

we stayed here on our honeymoon. They provided us a lovely gift from their gift shop. We stayed in the “Jardin” suite and it was absolutely beautiful. It felt like a cozy apartment building. Staff are courteous and provide amazing hospitality. Antoine booked us several dinner reservations during our stay in town and they were excellent recommendations. Their own restaurant, Chez Muffy, is both beautiful and has a delicious menu. There is a ton of interesting history throughout the entire hotel. Lots of unique additions to the decor. Very charming and lovely hotel. Would recommend to all. Read less

Wow! Our little getaway from Montreal at this charming little historic hotel was above and beyond what we expected. - Exceptional service: from the warm welcome at the reception with a room upgrade, the valet, the knowledgeable concierge, to the lady who delivered our breakfast and the lady who came to make our room, everyone we met at the Auberge was professional, authentic, courteous and make you feel so welcomed. - Love the historic feel and decoration of the hotel. Artifacts are displayed throughout the hotel and decorated with taste. - We had a terrace room overlooking the river and although the room was not big, it is spotless. Love the heated floor in the bathroom. - Amazing breakfast: just enough choice and tasteful. Enjoying our breakfast on the terrace was one of the highlight of our trip. - Wonderful location in the Old-Quebec, close to many shops/bars/restaurants. Overall we had a 5 star wonderful stay and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others! Read less

We decided to even extend our stay by 1 night, cancelling another location. The dinner being put on by Panache Mobile and the breakfast at Chez Muffy were both… Read more

The main disappointment was the size of our room. There was barely enough room to lay our luggage flat. The main disappointment was the size of our room. There was barely enough room to lay our luggage flat. We had for a corner room with a view, one of the more expensive options, and were surprised to see valuable square footage sacrificed for outdoor space. That aside, the hotel is modern and the bathroom floor is heated. The bidet function on the toilet doesn't seem to work well though. This is a great location in the lower town. Brunch at Chez Muffy was excellent. Service, however, was just fine, not great, especially for this purported quality of hotel. Our flight was cancelled, rebooked, then delayed, resulting in an exhausting journey, red eye flights, and missing a night we had paid for. Obviously not the hotel's fault, but they could have been more welcoming and warmer with check in, even feigning interest in our situation. Read less
