When arriving at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Quebec City my family was told by staff that they had no booking for us (when we had booked through hotels.com). Whilst we continued to show them our booking confirmation and proof that we had booked the room, we were continually told that they had no record of our booking under our surname. This continued for around 20 minutes until a member of staff realised that we did actually have a reservation. Once this issue was solved, we were told that our room was only for 4 guests and we had 4 adults and 1 child. A hotel policy had been introduced since the booking was made, however, we had not been informed. The staff offered a second room for a 50% discount which was unsatisfactory as we had booked a room for 5 and had allocated a specific budget for this hotel stay. After much deliberation, the staff said they would provide us with a portable mattress. This meant that our small room became even smaller but at least the problem was solved and we weren't required to pay any additional hotel fees. The portable bed wasn't especially comfortable and the pillow gave me a stiff neck for 5 days. The pool was nice in winter as it was heated and able to be accessed inside. The restaurant was satisfactory however the chicken in a club sandwich wasn't warm. Read less

I've stayed here many times. It's always welcoming, comfortable and the service is great. You must try the Slow Cooked Pork Osso Bucco. There's a great gym although in February I found it a little cold for a swim in the pool... maybe next time. It's a short walk to Quebec's Old City which is well worth it.

Traveled to Quebec City from Boston at the end of December, 2019 after Christmas day for a romantic getaway with my wife. As Marriott Titanium member, room was automatically upgraded to Signature Club/Concierge 12th Floor. Room was clean and maid service was excellent. Furnishings and room size met our needs. Solid selection of food for the Continental Breakfast in Club, snacks and drinks throughout the day including appetizers in the evening with a cash alcohol bar. Front Desk was on 3rd Floor(easy access via escalators or elevators) and which is not out of the ordinary - I have travelled to hotels in China with check-in on upper floors. Very pleased with Concierge team who suggested and arranged reservations at exceptional restaurants - able to upgrade us from bar area to romantic dining room at Ophelia Restaurant. Located a short distance outside of of the wall, Delta is 15 minute walk to Funicular. Nice location. Valet and luggage team was incredibly efficient. Hotel restaurant is undergoing renovation and was closed. My rating is 4.5. Read less

Our room was small, old and musty. The window was so dirty on the outside that the view was obscured. The refrigerator was brought in and placed in the room, not built in. The outlet only had one working receptacle so we had to unplug lamp in order to use refrigerator. There was about 10 foot of cords all wound up and left in a pile in the walking area. We said nothing. Then we noticed that a neighboring room was smoking weed frequently. That we did report. We were told they would take care of it....never did. We lived with that smell for 4 days. The hotel overall was dirty and did not in any way feel like a Marriott property. There were no laundry facilities and no in room safe. When I spoke to the staff they said most hotels don’t have laundry’s for guests. When I booked room I always ask for xtra pillows. They weren’t in room at arrival so I called front desk and they said they’d send someone up. We left for the sights shortly after, arrived back after midnight to no pillows. I called and no one answered so I went down. They had a line of late check ins. I waited patiently and they went in back room and came out saying they had no pillows, but I could come down again in the morning. I asked if she was going to hand me pillows to bring to my room and I was told yes. I know that sounds snobby, but I was paying over $385 for that night and they couldn’t find 2 xtra pillows and put in our room? Pool was out of operation for 2 of the days. In addition there was a lot of construction that made for xtra walking and no sleeping in and Uber drivers having difficulty locating the hotel, so we actually would walk up the street to wait on a corner for the drivers. (Would have been nice to have known before booking about the construction) We had just stayed at Marriott Courtyard in Montreal and were treated like royalty in a hotel that was spotless! To come here and pay this much for such a run down property was sad. To top it off, Marriott Corporate said they could do nothing and forwarded complaints to the hotel mgmt. The final response was that I wouldn’t be charged for hotel parking for my stay. They didn’t even complete that properly and only refunded 2nights of parking. I had written a glowing review for The Courtyard Montreal and it solidified my loyalty to Marriott, but that and all my years of great stays was wiped out by this hotel, staff and Marriotts new corporate philosophy.
