My priorities regarding a hotel may be different than yours. For me, the list goes like this: I have to feel safe; I don't want to hear noise from hallways or neighboring rooms; the room must be clean, especially the bathroom; the bed and pillows comfy; the staff professional and friendly. Location figures highly in there, too, of course. The staff at this hotel are incredibly kind and helpful: I spoke with many of them, including the concierge, bartenders, executive lounge attendants, and room attendants. They were, without exception, wonderful. The hotel needs updating to live up to what I expect from a Hilton hotel. Chairs in the lobby are worn. The bar and dining room off of the lobby do look as if they were updated more recently, but the lobby itself needs a facelift. We had a city facing room on the 21st floor. Beautiful view. This room had a connecting door to the adjacent room. We had noisy neighbors for 2 nights and perhaps we should have complained but, they settled down the first night before it was midnight. The next night was ok until 0220, when I awoke to the sound of the door on the other side of ours opening. Of course, our door was locked but this was disturbing. I know whoever they were checked out the next day so, our last night was peaceful. Also, on the 2nd night (we stayed 3 nights) we could hear footsteps and voices from the room above. There was only one bedside table, because of the positioning of the adjoining room doors. I suppose we should have asked for a different room when we noticed this, but we didn't. The bathroom was small; it had one sink and a shower tub. The lighting could have been better. There was no vent fan that I could find. Although adequate, it was not what I'd consider a 4 star hotel bathroom. The water sure was hot, though! The temperature control was easy to use and responded to new settings; no complaints about the temperature in the room. I understand major renovations are in store for this property. I hope the new and improved version includes rooms with larger bathrooms, better lighting in the bathrooms, much better sound insulation throughout and bedside tables on both sides of the bed. But, don't change a thing about your staffing: they are marvelous. Read less

The Hilton is centrally locates to all of the major QC attractions. Rooms are large, quiet, and clean though a bit dated. This was a very busy hotel, but was in a great location for walking to Old Quebec City. We had breakfast included in our stay and found their was a line up for a table. We were quickly seated, food was replenished frequently and attentive service.

after a day of business appointments and dinner, we would have appreciate to dive in the winter pool. Alas, it was closing at 21:00. Aside that, very pleasant stay. Breakfast is very expensive for what it is... walk around, there is plenty of better choices.

Better to book a bus tour here than ahead of time because the pickup was here. Great location for a conference. Read less
