Very close to the old city wall - everything accessible by walking. The hotel building itself is old - which is my only negative. It needs some upkeep. The room itself is very nice and upgraded appropriately. But there was water damage above and below the windows, with wall staining, and crinkling drywall/wall paper from old seepage. There was active water dripping inside at the windows in multiple areas from thawing ice/snow. I did inform the front desk, and a maintanence man did arrive promptly - but just put towels down as we had already done. There was no need to change rooms, and we didn’t ask to. Towels remained throughout our week stay. Read less

Only downfall is that the room needed to be renovated or better maintained; Wallpaper was pealing and the Murphy bed mattress lacked that normal hotel comfort and quality. Read less

Comfort and great food, service and location. The matress was really comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing. Bonus: it is located right next to the old Quebec city. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately it was extremely cold outside so we didn’t explore much of Quebec City but, fortunately, the event we were attending was in the hotel so we could dress up and attend the event without jackets and boots. The hotel is well located to visit Quebec City. There are many good restaurants surrounding the hotel and the walls of the Old City are a couple blocks away. Read less

My friend and I visited in late January and I got a "friends and family" rate, so I can't comment on the value of it in general. The location is great, it's got views for days no matter where you are in the building. Self parking was an absolute mess. My friend and I visited in late January and I got a "friends and family" rate, so I can't comment on the value of it in general. The location is great, it's got views for days no matter where you are in the building. Self parking was an absolute mess. The valet told us "Go out, take a right, and another right, and you'll see the sign for 'Indigo' and it's the 4th floor coming back from there." Sounds easy enough, but it's actually THREE rights, not 2. And it's the SECOND opening for Indigo - I believe the first is actually employees, and they let us in when we pressed the button because we said we were with Hilton. From there it was a joke getting to the hotel, because we didn't know we came out the wrong building. (we ended up there a full night not knowing until I asked the next day and moved the car) I mistakenly booked an executive level room, not realizing that being Gold means I had access anyway. I asked about adjusting the price, but they couldn't do anything about it. I wasn't too upset since it was such a great price to begin with (and my own fault that I should have read details of my account!) The complimentary breakfast in the morning for Executive Lounge and Gold/DIamond members was average, at best. I'm particular with what I have for breakfast, and there wasn't much for me. I did love the cappuccino machine. The evening appetizers made up for the sub-par breakfast though. I wish beer and wine was included like other Hiltons I've been to, but we were able to skip dinner one night due to the complimentary plate we had in the lounge. The pool is incredible. Having that access from the inside in the winter was unexpected and appreciated. There is nothing like swimming in a heated pool while it's snowing. Might have ended up being a once in a lifetime moment. We didn't use the bar or restaurant so I can't comment on those. The biggest issue I have with this hotel is the outside area. There was a drop in temps after raining and everything iced up on our first full day. We literally couldn't leave the hotel - it's located on a hill, so almost every direction is DOWN, but especially the direction we were headed that morning (towards Rue St Jean). Going out that door on Rue Saint-Joachim was dangerous and scary. We attempted a couple of times, then stopped to watch others, just baffled that they hadn't prepped the area with sand or salt. We gradually (and SLOWLY) got out to the street, where we stayed until we got to a cleared area. At the end of the day we headed back in through the front door and it was still covered in ice. We had purchased ice cleats by then and it was easier for us to make our way to the door, but I find this reckless and irresponsible for a hotel to leave this hazard all day long. Read less
