Hotel Le Germain Quebec

Quebec City, Canada

The hotel

Coolly contemporary and yet utterly classic, Le Germain Québec resides in a century old building in the city’s Old Port district. They’ve preserved the hotel’s historic shell, nurturing its stonework and original carpentry to create a space sympathetic with its surroundings, but they’ve filled it with slick mod-cons from the 24-hour fitness hub to your guestroom’s Nespresso® coffee machine and Bose® stereo system. They’ve adorned it with a masculine monochromatic décor that transports you from your historic setting to the modern world the moment you step inside. Little extras like complimentary WiFi access and free deluxe Continental breakfasts turn it from a hotel into a home, while spaces like the patio — a secret garden giving you an intimate spot for drinks — turn it into somewhere truly unique.

This is a fantastic small hotel in the Old Town of the city at the corner of St. Paul and St. Germain. This hotel has all the old world charm with all the modern amenities. We enjoyed the couches and fireplace in the backside of the lobby after coming in from the snowy outdoors and later for a drink. The included continental breakfast is delicious with lots of choices and a reasonable time frame. The eating area is family style so lets you meet fellow travelers. All day coffee is appreciated too. Our large room overlooked the St. Lawrence, had luxurious linens, comfortable bed and pillows and Nespresso coffee for the morning. The bathroom is large with high end toiletries. All staff were helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend a stay at this boutique hotel. Read less

We were in Quebec City in December ; we stayed at the hotel Le Germain and we liked it. The staff is nice and friendly and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable ; We found the room a little small for staying 3 days. The breakfast was good.

Antoine and the other staff at the front desk provided great restaurant recommendations and bookings and helpfully called other sites we were interested in to check hours, prices, etc. The room was large and clean and the breakfast buffet was delcious. I would definitely stay here again. Read less

Stayed here in Sept. 2018 for a business trip. The staff was helpful & friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and the location is great! It's in the Lower City close to the water but you can walk up to the Upper City in about 10 minutes. The breakfast was also very good - lots of selection and very fresh! Would definitely stay here again!
