We stayed here for two nights at the end of a cruise. There are a lot of stairs to climb from the street but the door staff were quick to welcome us and carry our cases up. The reception staff were very helpful. We arrived after leaving the ship at 9.30 am and were told our room would be ready at 4 pm but we were able to leave our cases securely and explore Old Quebec. The hotel is at the higher level and close to everything. We had the buffet breakfast on two mornings which was our only disappointment with our stay. The hot food trays were not regularly replenished and almost empty on both occasions. I would take breakfast out if staying again. We didn't use the attached Bistro restaurant for dinner but it looked very popular. Read less

I had booked and pre-paid for 2 nights through Amoma and they ceased to do business but I emailed and received confirmation from the reservation manager that my reservation and pre-payment was in their system. Apparently a few days later, someone (not I) cancelled my reservation. The front desk staff (Bernard) was very helpful when we arrived, gave us a fabulous room after a bit of discussion to try and find out who cancelled the reservation. Another staff provided me with the cancellation documents, but Bernard told us to not ruin our stay by stressing about it, and he was right. I did call the firm that did send the cancellation to the Hotel Manoir Victoria, but didn't get very far, so decided to let it rest till I was home. It is important to note that the Hotel Manoir Victoria agreed to honour the rate that was originally booked even though it was much lower than what they would have received for the beautiful massive room we were in. The room was just that, beautifully appointed and huge with a view out over the Hotel Dieu Hospital. The beds were comfortable and the pillows just as divine. The bathroom items (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap) were higher end products and the items also included a shoe shine cloth, sewing kit, vanity kit and a toothbrush and toothpaste which I thought was unique. Towels were soft and fluffy, shower water pressure was good and time spent in the jacuzzi tub was enjoyable. Bernard made our stay stress free and awesome! Read less

I was a little worried reading about the difficulty of getting up to the hotel with all the stairs and if had any kind of mobiliby issue I would say that is the case. However, given we are all mobile it was not an issue for us. Staff were super friendly and check in was a breeze. Travelled with another couple and requested rooms on the same floor and that is exaclty waht we got. Rooms were bright and updated and clean. Had a nice view of the river. No issues whatsover. Bed was comfortable and the location was fantastic. This will be my hotel of choice when we return to Quebec City again. There's a little pastry/coffee shop off the lobby and the croissant was delicious. Close to everything you want for Old Quebec. If you have mobility issues I don't know how you would get up those stairs. If you do not, there is nothing that would stop you from booking this hotel. Thumbs up all the way! Merci! Read less
