We stayed for the weekend on the ranch with the family during our Canada trip. The hosts Norm and Nan have created a wonderful place in the middle of the Camloops. Arriving there, you immediately feel like coming home to the family. The whole place runs like a big family and we really enjoyed all the friendly hospitality off the whole ranch stuff. All the meals are held in family stile, means, that you sit together with the hosts and other guest on a bigger table and share the meal. Patrick the Chef du Cuisine does a marvelous job for all of the meals. This was first class. Nothing didn’t fit to our guts. Also the wrangler are very friendly and do a very professional job with the horses. As non professional riders, it was no problem to go out with the family for a ride. And if your are not so much into horseback rinding, then Darrel is your man! We had so much fun with Darrel during fly fishing, shooting, .... Thanks to the whole team around Norm and Nan for these amazing days. Read less

The farm is set in the Cariboo mountains and with 160 acres, you have plenty of space to explore. The food was incredible, on our first night we were treated to a cook out followed by smores by the fireside for the children. On our last night it was a Thai themed night and yet again, Echo Valley provided an amazing meal with so many options to choose from. The horses were really beautiful and during our time there we had a family horse riding lesson and 2 treks. The wranglers were super friendly and helpful and were great with my eldest who was a little nervous. You could also participate in shooting and fishing. I have to say the facials at the on-site spa is also highly recommended. What makes Echo Valley Ranch so special is a combination of the setting, the warmth and friendliness of the entire team, incredible food, an array of animals (pigs, chickens, cats, kittens, dogs, horses) and the sheer vastness of the open space available to explore. My children (aged 9 and 11) are already asking can we go back which is always a great sign. Would definitely recommend. Read less

We got to try shooting which was great fun! All the animals on the ranch are super friendly with the dogs and cat joining guests and staff for BBQs and bonfires. It was an amazing experience and would love to be able to go back if we are ever back in Canada again! Could not recommend highly enough. Read less
