Echo Valley Ranch & Spa

Clinton, Rural British Columbia

The hotel

Surrounded by some of British Columbia's most spectacular scenery, including mountains and marshlands, deserts and forest. Echo Valley is one of Canada's premier guest ranches. Riders of all levels can improve their skills, tackling a variety of trails in the wilderness. These's also hiking, biking and swimming plus some all-important pampering in the spa! A scenic 6-hour drive from Vancouver, this ranch effortlessly combines exciting outdoor activities with a world-class spa facility. Dating back to 1908, all the old structures remain, including a log house and log shed, blending harmoniously with a wide range of recent additions. There’s an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, hot tub and disc golf course. The Thai-orientated spa offers a full range of facials, massages and beauty treatments, perfect for reviving you after a busy day trekking in the mountains! Although horse riding is the main activity, ring the changes with gold panning, 4x4 canyon tours, hiking, biking, swimming, whitewater rafting, bird watching and fly-fishing. So my boyfriend told me to pack a bag with my cowboy boots, swimsuit, and yoga clothes. And then we drove away across the stunning Duffey Lake road and into the wilderness of the interior. When we made it to Echo Valley ranch I was stunned, WOW what a beautiful secluded place! A true jewel in the mountains. He knows me so well! The staff greeted us with so much love and Norm and Nan, and everyone else, makes you feel so welcomed and cared for. You feel part of the family right away. The staff knew abut my boyfriend's plans and upgraded us to a a private cozy cabin. I'm a total horse lady, I have 3 horses myself and love to ride new terrain and explore new places on horseback. Echo Valley went far and beyond helping my boyfriend make his proposal the most beautiful moment of my life. We rode the horses guided by our 2 wonderful wranglers to a stunning view point, and a romantic picnic was already set up there for us. Overlooking the mountains and the valley below. And there, he asked me if I wanted to spent the rest of my life with him. It couldn't have been more beautiful! Then we galloped away up a breathtaking mountain side, yes we really did! Like the movies :) Thank you for making this weekend one of the most memorable of our lives! Thank you for making us feel special and so cared for. Thank for for the wonderful morning thai yogas and world class spa treatments! Echo Valley Ranch and Spa is truly a gem in the Canadian Wilderness, where you get a wonderful mix of East meets West <3 Read less
