The hotel

Surrounded by some of British Columbia's most spectacular scenery, including mountains and marshlands, deserts and forest. Echo Valley is one of Canada's premier guest ranches. Riders of all levels can improve their skills, tackling a variety of trails in the wilderness. These's also hiking, biking and swimming plus some all-important pampering in the spa! A scenic 6-hour drive from Vancouver, this ranch effortlessly combines exciting outdoor activities with a world-class spa facility. Dating back to 1908, all the old structures remain, including a log house and log shed, blending harmoniously with a wide range of recent additions. There’s an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, hot tub and disc golf course. The Thai-orientated spa offers a full range of facials, massages and beauty treatments, perfect for reviving you after a busy day trekking in the mountains! Although horse riding is the main activity, ring the changes with gold panning, 4x4 canyon tours, hiking, biking, swimming, whitewater rafting, bird watching and fly-fishing. At night, join in a cowboy cookout, listen to some native drumming and feast on gourmet food with Thai dishes a speciality!

This ranch is a truly amazing place to visit. Set in a stunning location away from the hustle and bustle, the facilities are lacking in nothing and are all first class. I can not say enough about this wonderful ranch/spa in Echo Valley, Clinton, BC, Canada. I first heard about it from my daughter, who was looking for a place to elope to with her fiancé. They were first just going to sneak away by themselves to get married, but then decided to ask a few people to come, if they wanted too. It ended up being 5 of us (including our 9 month old granddaughter) plus the bride and groom. It was absolutely amazing how much everyone (especially Maria) bent over backwards to make it such a wonderful day. I can not thank them enough. The food was amazing, so delicious, and accommodations so comfy. Thank you again for making it such a special day!! Read less

What a wonderful stay here at the Echo Valley Ranch. Arriving in the mountain sunshine to pristine lodges made of local timber, a beautifully kept property , we were very excited to be here after a long drive but it was wonderful. After a warm welcome , and a glass of bubbly we were shown to our artistically furnished room and en- suite -everything was pristine and so clean. Norm and Nan’s wonderful home and family of staff create a very relaxed atmosphere which would be difficult to replicate anywhere in the world. I wish I could have stayed longer but this ranch experience will be with me forever . Mike and Maggie , the wranglers took us on a wonderful ride in the forest and the horses were a delight, so well loved and cared for - a real animal heaven too. The lodges were tastefully and artistically furnished, the meals prepared by the chef were delicious too. With locally sourced and home produced ingredients presented creatively were mouth watering. A big thank you to you, Norm and Nan for sharing your beautiful home with guests - it was a truly fantastic, and memorable experience. I would love to return one day. Cat and Gill Read less
