Prestige Lakeside Resort

Nelson, Okanagan

The hotel

Yachts bobbing in the marina; calm ripples on Kootenay Lake; the Selkirk Mountains’ majesty, quaint Heritage Streetcar #23 stopping just outside: the views from Prestige Lakeside Resort are nothing short of eye-catching — although it does a top job of diverting your eyes back to its own attractions too. There are complimentary bikes for exploring the beautiful heritage town of Nelson, whose downtown zone’s just a stroll away. There are free beach toys and board games for those lazy days and evenings. There are kayaks and paddle boards for messing about on the lake. There’s an indoor pool, hot tub, and spa for pure relaxation. And there’s the casual coffee and muffins of Juniper’s Bistro, Asian-fusion food of Yesaki’s Wine & Raw Bar, and waterfront patio of West Coast Grill, which reunites your eyes with those exclusive yachts.

View was great, over the lake. Unfortunately thats where the good ends. Room was not spotless as you would expect at this price, although well appointed. Noise overnight was an issue all weekend. Reception desk employees seemed lost. Understaffed/closed restaurant. Inconsistent quality of food.

Always comfortable, I mixed some business and family time. Had our small dog along and the pet rooms are quite good. The $40 / night pet fee is a bit steep, but I suppose it's insurance as much as anything. None the less, very happy as usual with this property

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be lovely. One thing that was frustrating (we realize it's not the fault of the hotel) is that the Marina is a "working" Marina and it was so NOISY. We paid extra to be water side and wanted to sit on the balcony, relax and read but we could not even keep our door open because of the noise. That made our… Read more

Stayed for 2 nights in Nelson which is a lovely spot to visit. But the hotel while well sighted on the waterfront will depress you with its colour scheme. Rooms are large and beds are quite comfortable. But it always feels dark and a bit sole-less. Not sure what the alternatives are like. It’s clean and well kept and well located.
