We've stayed in the hotel a number of years ago and were disappointed at how run down it seems. One of the hot tubs wasn't working and apparently hadn't for awhile; there were empty pails , broken wooden chairs and other wooden items just lying around; a hockey net thrown into a pond, and touch ups needed in the room. But, the bed was great, the… Read more

One of the hot tubs wasn't working and apparently hadn't for awhile; there were empty pails , broken wooden chairs and other wooden items just lying around; a hockey net thrown into a pond, and touch ups needed in the room. But, the bed was great, the towels thick, and the dinner was excellent. There was no one to check us in or check us out, and we had to find the staff who looked after that. It's about a 3 star hotel. This place has to be one of the most disappointing places we have ever booked and are ever so grateful that we didn’t stay. Upon arrival food particles still in the sink drainer and further bits clogged in the plug hole. Floor filthy and beds looked like they had been slept in and not change bed. Second offer had bedframes left on the balcony… Read more

Formerly “The Hills Health Ranch” but, frankly, not a patch on what it used to be. More on that later... My wife and I wanted a week of peace and quiet, pet-friendly accommodation with access to walking trails without the possibility of a wildlife encounter. As far as that goes, our needs were well met, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The fact is, though, that this facility, located in beautiful Cariboo countryside, is now run by a skeleton staff on a shoestring budget. Under previous ownership, this place hummed with health spa activity, walls adorned with signed pictures of A- and B-list celebrities; now, all those pictures have gone, and the office space previously occupied by booking staff is an unused, untidy mess. The cabins have received attention by way of new flooring and roofing, and the old bench seating has been taken out and replaced with inexpensive but perfectly functional furniture. Nevertheless, there are signs of incomplete maintenance and unfinished projects all over - little stuff, like garbage and recycling bins with broken hinges and cracks in poorly finished bathroom tiled flooring are commonplace in more rustic surroundings, but not so much in what used to be a 5-star facility. If, like us, you are interested purely in self-catered accommodation and not so much all the other amenities (which may or may not be in operation), this is a great place for a young family. The 108 general store is a short drive (or walk, if your shopping list is short); 100 Mile House has things to do and see; decent swimming spots are within a 30 minute drive (Green Lake and Canim Lake). If you’re after the full-blown health spa experience, though...keep checking back on TripAdvisor for when someone posts a positive report. Read less

My husband and I stayed here for one night of a three week trip to Canada. All hotel reservations made prior to departure. I thought it looked really nice on the internet but it was not. Externally rather tatty, with heaps of rubbish by buildings. No bar. Only saw two staff and they both spoke minimal English. Rooms dated. We were the only people in the restaurant for the evening meal. My husband had to go and choose a can of beer from fridge in kitchen as waitress couldn't understand what he meant.Poor main course. No dessert offered, just a hand written bill. Didn't see any other guests until next morning when two other couple were checking out before breakfast, like us. Read less
