Travelled with my husband for a weekend get away and I must say, was disappointed. Have visited "The Hills" for many years but it has lost that comfortable feel. It is a gem of a location and has potential but seeing the owner openly berate an employee and experiencing long waits due to staffing shortage left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Read less

This was a bad experience. The individual cabin was extremely dirty and smelly when we arrived. The fridge was dirty, the toilet disgusting and the diningtable clearly not clean. We were offered another cabin which was better, but no mosquito net on the windows and doors as they had been taken off due to bad functionality - unfortunate in a forrest with lots of mosquitos as we could get no fresh air into the cabin. Very old and worn out furniture. Do not visit if you have a medium standard request. Read less

Very long drive, the Cabin is so dirty and it smells. Bed is stinks, dusty. Breakfast is not even served until 8am. Food is not presentable. Crew is not even welcoming they need a lot of training for customer care. The facility needs a lot of TLC. Theres nothing exciting to be done in the area. The Spa is not available. And no refund... I asks for a refund and they did not allowed me. I just spend one night for a two night stay and not even a single breakfast and even the Spa I did not used and they are saying no refund.. its really a waste! I don't recommend this to any travellers! The owner doesn't know how to take care of their cloents. This is not a good place to go. Sorry! Read less

Such beautiful surroundings, too bad the resort doesn’t reflect that. The owner needs to spend more time upgrading. The chalets need a lot of work to get rid of all the garbage stuffed under the beds and sinks, also the dust and spider webs, saggy beds and worn furniture ! The dining room is dated and boring and maybe dirty. The service was so-so . Small problems took a long time to fix. This resort has so much potential .It’s sad watching it slowly fall apart Marcie McMurtrie, 108 Mile Ranch Read less

I’ve been wanting to stop in here for years but never had the opportunity as the previous owner didn’t allow dogs or rv’s. for this trip, we were without kids, dog and rv but we thought we would stop in for a night to try it out. First impression; it’s a beautiful huge property that definitely had a lot of money invested into it. It appears the new owner is now updating the rooms. We checked in and went to our room, it absolutely stunk of cigarettes so we requested another room, we checked that room but it was a small bed and tools/construction materials were piled up outside the room. We checked a third room, it was 2 queens,( we were promised a king), finally, a 4th room (that was not renovated yet), had a king! They asked if this was ok?? I said it will be fine. After we brought our luggage (after hauling it everywhere), we were skeptical of everything being ok. We checked the bed and it was missing any sort of mattress protector and there was fresh stains on the bedsheet. We had it at this point and requested a refund, the owner wanted us to walk around with him some more to find a room but we said enough is enough and left. First time I’ve ever walked out on a hotel. In addition to this; it appears that any repairs or upgrades are sub standard workmanship (I’m in the trades) and the fire alarm in our building was also not functioning. The workers were far from professional and to be blunt, looked like they just got out of rehab. I don’t think I will ever return until there is a new owner or substantial turn around. Read less
