Walnut Beach Resort

Osoyoos, Rural British Columbia

The hotel

The hottest spot in Canada is home to one of its hottest lakeside hotels — the super-luxe Walnut Beach Resort. Along the private sands of Palapa Beach, which are washed by the waters of Lake Osoyoos, this design-conscious hotel looks out over the lake from its Sun Arbour Pool Terrace to its Vista Point Grill’s al fresco dining patio. Around the hotel, you’ve got glorious golf courses, family fun at Rattlesnake Canyon amusement and water park, snowsports in the distant mountains, and cultural centres and museums — but back at Walnut Beach Resort, it’s all about the water, whether you’re swimming in the lakefront pool, soaking in the two hot tubs, heading out for water sports from the hotel’s dock, or just dining with a lake view after cooking up a storm at the barbecue area, with its stainless steel grills.

Can use the pool at 0 degrees because water is over 90 degrees. Fish and Chips were excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful if you have any problems. Normally there would have been snowbird activities but they were quashed due to covid restrictions.

Always a pleasure to stay. Clean and staff is helpful. Truly does feel like a resort. Kids enjoy their stay also. The rooms are very complete, modern and clean. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick stay or a few more.

Great stopover while moving for work. The room was spacious & had all of the amenities you would need for even a longer stay. Quiet, comfortable, and good Covid protocols in place. And a lovely location!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating A pleasant get away spot

We decided to get away for a quick 'stay cation' during these ugly COVID times. The COVID measures in place were not onerous but also were monitored well. We felt safe and had a quiet and relaxing stay in the offseason (November). We will surely try this property again in the summer when it is up and running full tilt
