Walnut Beach Resort

Osoyoos, Rural British Columbia

The hotel

The hottest spot in Canada is home to one of its hottest lakeside hotels — the super-luxe Walnut Beach Resort. Along the private sands of Palapa Beach, which are washed by the waters of Lake Osoyoos, this design-conscious hotel looks out over the lake from its Sun Arbour Pool Terrace to its Vista Point Grill’s al fresco dining patio. Around the hotel, you’ve got glorious golf courses, family fun at Rattlesnake Canyon amusement and water park, snowsports in the distant mountains, and cultural centres and museums — but back at Walnut Beach Resort, it’s all about the water, whether you’re swimming in the lakefront pool, soaking in the two hot tubs, heading out for water sports from the hotel’s dock, or just dining with a lake view after cooking up a storm at the barbecue area, with its stainless steel grills.

This place could be great given its location. The resort is tired and needs some love and care: Steamroom was broken, drinking water in the gym clogged, and the kitchen is bare - not even salt and pepper in a full kitchen. Much potential, but someone needs to care.

A very nice, clean, quiet room with a view. Room could use some updating as aspects are starting to look worn out .. carpet, bathroom fan, caulking around the tub etc. Staff were friendly. Would stay here again.

very nice amenities - great beach and very nice pool area. It is located on the back side of the lake so it is away from the main part of the city and it is a quieter location. I would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding service and value for a luxury hotel in the Okanagan. Peaceful side of the lake and a walk to one of the best restaurants in town. Wonderful morning walk along the waterfront. Parking is secured. Always good to stop by and stay a few nights.
