Walnut Beach Resort

Osoyoos, Rural British Columbia

The hotel

The hottest spot in Canada is home to one of its hottest lakeside hotels — the super-luxe Walnut Beach Resort. Along the private sands of Palapa Beach, which are washed by the waters of Lake Osoyoos, this design-conscious hotel looks out over the lake from its Sun Arbour Pool Terrace to its Vista Point Grill’s al fresco dining patio. Around the hotel, you’ve got glorious golf courses, family fun at Rattlesnake Canyon amusement and water park, snowsports in the distant mountains, and cultural centres and museums — but back at Walnut Beach Resort, it’s all about the water, whether you’re swimming in the lakefront pool, soaking in the two hot tubs, heading out for water sports from the hotel’s dock, or just dining with a lake view after cooking up a storm at the barbecue area, with its stainless steel grills.

We stayed in January 2020 in the chardonnay suite. The room was clean and presentable. We did even cook our dinner meal in the room. There was not much for utensils and items for kitchen use. The small table for two had a drop light overhead, but was burnt out. Made for a dark table to eat it. The robes for the pool should be replaced they were… Read more

Website stated the pool will be closed April for cleaning as it needs to be the bottom is brown not nice to look at. Otherwise no complaints of the resort. We had a relaxing two nights stay. The pool being heated and open during the winter was a huge bonus as we used it every day, along with the hot tub and sauna. The bbqs that they provide were spectacular and the front desk staff are always very friendly. We found the beds to be very comfortable and easily fell asleep looking at the beautiful view. We were a little bit disappointed when we had found out that the restaurant located at the hotel was closed for the holidays as we were hoping to enjoy a meal there instead of going elsewhere. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will return! Read less

I highly recommend the walnut beach resort. The pool and hot tub were nice and warm in the dead of winter. The rooms were well appointed and we have a wonderful time. The view of the lake was stunning.

Spent one night at this hotel over Christmas week and really enjoyed ourselves. We were 3 adults in the 2 bedroom Shiraz suite. Nice view, spacious and very clean suite, heated pools are great fun. Service is excellent. Price for one night a bit steep so best to stay a week!
