Coast Sundance Lodge

Sun Peaks, Rural British Columbia

The hotel

The two top ski lifts in Sun Peaks Resort sit just behind Coast Sundance Lodge — giving you speedy access to the slopes, and to hiking, biking, and other al fresco fun. A ski-in/ski-out sanctuary, in Canada’s second biggest ski resort, it sits on the quieter fringe of the village but still only moments from its shopping, dining, and entertainment scene — and the first tee of Sun Peak Resort’s 18-hole golf course is just across the road. You don’t have to leave the lodge to dine, with your guestroom’s kitchen area, Vertical Café’s delicious meals, Bolacco Café’s tempting breakfasts and lunches, and Bottoms Bar & Grill’s home-pressed burgers and local microbrew. You don’t have to step outside to relax either, with its complimentary WiFi access and movie channels, a fitness centre, and a super-sized hot tub with ski slope views.

Nice location, staff were pleasant but rooms were way too hot to sleep in (non winter months), no air conditioning, only one small window which doesn't let in any air, they provide a stand up fan (which helps a bit), beds was very lumpy and always woke up with a sore back, no comfortable chairs in the room to relax in, definitely could do with… Read more

Room very basic, mattress extremely uncomfortable, not suited for 2 people. No A/C in room for hot summer days. No early check in available yet way under capacity, staff didn't want to go the extra mile to try to help like I have seen in bigger chains. No early check in available yet way under capacity, staff didn't want to go the extra mile to try to help like I have seen in bigger chains. I wish I knew a little more beforehand then I would have upgraded our stay. Checked out 1 day early. (Stayed in the lowest cost room as part of promo so not sure how higher cost rooms are). No housekeeping yet didn't leave enough supplies for a couple day stay. Room seems really meant for a single person. Read less

Wonderful service and comfy beds, but super small. Close to everything. Convenient kitchen to prepare food. Small deck but no chairs to sit on out there. The room does not have air conditioner so it was very hot to sleep at night.

We arrived late in the evening. The staff were super accommodating, helpful and pleasant! The room was clean, beds were super comfy, and the location was perfect. Parking was easy. Couldn't have asked for more!

Good COVID precautions inside: one way travel, hand sanitizing stations. In the rooms they had stickers to see what cupboards were opened. The rooms themselves looked a bit aged.but the outside and lobby look nice. Free parking outside but had to pay underneath (although a family member had it free. I asked and apparently a different promo… Read more
