Delta Hotels By Marriott Kingston Waterfront

Kingston, Rural Ontario

The hotel

Sitting like the grandest yacht in Confederation Harbour, this slick hotel juts out into the marina to give you incredible views over bobbing boats. And the views stretch out towards St Lawrence River, which drifts down into Lake Ontario. In fact, you can see the water as you unwind in your guestroom, work out in the gym, relax at the indoor rooftop pool and hot tub, sip cocktails at The Vu, and dine at AquaTerra. Its prime waterfront spot doesn’t just bless this hotel with coveted views though; it also puts you close to the boutiques and restaurants of historic downtown Kingston. When your eyes can be turned away from the scenes outside, Delta Hotels by Marriott Kingston Waterfront rewards you with treats like complimentary WiFi and Aquaterra’s authentic Canadian menu.

Had a wonderful stay at the Delta. The hotel's location made walking around downtown a pleasure. The hotel restaurant/ bar was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend the Delta if you are visiting Kingston.

I had an incident at the restaurant where another guest was annoying me as to why I had my napkin on my lap (yes you read that right). Adam the Manager came by to apologize for my interaction with the other diner and Holly the server was very apologetic even though it was not their fault. They made sure that I was comfortable for the rest of my stay and they took good care of me. Will always go back to stay here and recommend it to anyone else. Thank you to everyone that took care of me at this property Read less

The hotel lobby, restaurant and event areas were great, but once you move to floors with rooms (two floors out of five are for conference/event rooms only) things became shabby and unmaintained. The carpets in the corridors are stained and worn out, threads showing. The door frames have dents, scratches and chips missing. But the real bad surprise was in the room itself - the carpet also being worn out and stained, but also not vacuumed well, clouds of dust. Since we need clean environment for our toddler we did a thorough inspection of the room, move the side tables and the sitting sofa, and were aghast to find layers and layers of dust, grit and garbage underneath the furniture!! I don't see an option to post pictures here, but I documented everything, and will post them if possible so you can judge for yourselves. A couple of hours later, NOTHING was cleaned under the furniture! Only the bed was made and that was it! Another call to the front desk (polite and apologetic employee) and a guy was sent to vacuum under the furniture, but how many calls does it take for such a simple thing? Thank God our toddler did not get a rash or respiratory issues! It seems to me that this hotel caters mostly to the event and restaurant crowd (Aquatera restaurant on premise), but the actual facilities for overnight guest are secondary priority. If that's the case, that should be clearly stated on their web page and if I knew that, we would have stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road. Read less

Excellent service! The room was very clean and spacious. I had a nice room with a nice view of the lake even though I had not booked a room with a view - I guess you can see the lake from most of the rooms anyway. Great location, very convenient if you are going on a cruise and also for exploring the town.
