I’ve stayed twice at Hotel X for business. The first visit was perfect, the rooms are beautiful with excellent amenities and the staff is very friendly. Our second stay last night was ruined by inconsiderate rowdy guests screaming in the hallway at 4am, this went on for over an hour. At this price point I would expect hotel staff to keep rowdy guests under control so as to not disturb other guests. I likely won’t choose it for a business stay again, but would be a great place to hold a party or wedding or other event where it doesn’t matter if other guests disturb you. Read less

Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful, with the concierge assisting with rides into downtown for appointments. The Falcon Bar, on the 27th floor, has an amazing view and good service, with the exception of Thursday evening, when I was met with lack of service and even indifference. True, it was a busy evening, but there were a number of staff standing around the bar, but no one offered to take my order. After 5 minutes or so, I left and went to the first floor bar, where I received impeccable and friendly service. Room service was timely, and the food was consistently hot and fresh. The breakfast options were varied, well-prepared and presented; I especially appreciated the range of cold meats on the Continental breakfast buffet. I will definitely return to Hotel X when visiting Toronto again. Read less

This hotel is SUPERB! One of the cleanest and beautiful hotels I've ever been to in Toronto. The staff were wonderful and surprised my toddler with a toy at check-in and also gave him a robe and slippers. Knowing it was my birthday, they delivered a cake to the room. My husband and I were overwhelmed by the service we received there. We had the… Read more

My husband and I were overwhelmed by the service we received there. We had the lake view room, and it was breathtaking, especially during sunset. The SKYBAR had an amazing view of Toronto. The spa isnt open until end of this week, but I will going back just to experience the spa =) Read less

We had previously stayed at The Aria in Budapest (amazing place!) and Casablanca in New York and this trip we had 2 stays in Toronto so we decided to try this hotel for the second one. It's a bit away from town and in the middle of the stadium car park, but we knew that before we booked and it wasn't an issue for us. We booked and prepaid a signature King and a Double Queen room for 4 nights. At check in they could initially only find one reservation but eventually we managed to find the other. The room was, and I'm trying to be kind, petite, bijoux, cosy. Easy to find things in. In fact I actually rang down to make sure that we were in the larger room because it was so small. They say the camera adds 10 pounds, it must add square feet as well! The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is nice, everything is clean and fresh. The views of the lake and boats are also lovely. If you wanted to attend Mattyfest and couldn't get tickets then you were in luck, it was very audible from within the room. Until 2am. Luckily the noise from the weddings outside clears up much earlier than that. The bar on the top floor is nice and service was very good. The only downer here was that the door to the balcony sticks open and fixing it appears to be an intractable problem. I'd put money on it still sticking this very minute. The rooftop pool area and the kitchen on the 2nd level are also good with good service in both. This hotel is not a luxury or boutique hotel, it's really a wedding venue or a nice conference hotel for the conference centre. The service outside of the restaurants and bars is patchy, not unfriendly but not friendly either. I thought we may uncover a hidden gem to provide an alternative when we visit but It's not even in the same game as the Four Seasons where we usually stay. The real killer for us was a high pitched whining which started coming from the bathroom and was audible all night after the concert ended. I have video of this but not sure if I can upload it here. At that point due to the BA pilots strike we had a choice to extend by 2 days or leave early so we took the leave option gratefully! Surprisingly they didn't even ask us at checkout why we were leaving 2 days early despite having paid for the full stay. I mentioned the noise and the receptionist agreed with me. Nice to have validation. I would stay here again if I was attending something at the conference centre but other than that I would not. Read less
