We stayed in the Novotel Toronto Center for 7 nights room only in mid-September. The room was clean, spacious and modern. It was on the 7th floor and faced out onto The Esplanade. We both slept well. The location is perfect for sightseeing. We walked to everything we wanted to see including CN Tower, Eaton Center and Kensington Market. We ate breakfast at the Carousel Bakery in St Lawrence Market - just along the street. There are restaurants and bars across the road - we particularly enjoyed KEG. We used the indoor pool once and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The perfect place to stay for first time visitors to Toronto. Read less

stayed here 2 nights on my last trip to Toronto. we booked through a 3rd party site, got a decent deal for downtown Toronto. location was great, just off the main road, but super close to St. Lawrence Market (like a 2 minute walk) and Union Station (5 or so minute walk). all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. the outside is kind of boring looking but the lobby is beautiful done. our room was spacious and clean, however one of the bedside lights was broken and some wires were exposed. we let one of the concierges know. he said they'd take care of it. wasn't dealt with while we were there, which was fine for us because we didn't use it anyways and were only staying one more night at that point. the bathroom was also really spacious, but i wish there were more towel racks to hang up your wet towels as there were several of us sharing a room. beds were super comfy, not super firm, but not too soft either. the only thing i thought was a little strange was that most hotels i've stayed in will have a little booklet or binder in the room with information about the hotel and surrounding areas to checkout or places to eat, and there wasn't one here. not a big deal, as we had an idea of where we wanted to go on our visit, but still would have been nice to see. if you're looking for breakfast in the area i'd suggest the St. Lawrence Market just down the street, or Frann's which is just a street over. Eggspectation's which is directly across the street, was ok, but i preferred the other 2. if you're just looking for something quick there's 2 Tim Horton's in the area as well as a Second Cup. overall, i enjoyed my stay and i would stay here again if the price was right. Rooms are big enough to accomodate 3 people. The location was good, very central for sightseeing. Our room was facing the street and was very noisy also very late at night as there was quite loud music playing on both nights from the pubs on the street. However we were so tired every day from walking around that we could fall asleep, but anybody who is sensitive with noise should ask for rooms facing the back. And as I am quite picky with the bathrooms - the floor in there was not really clean, there were dirt marks from shoes which could easily being wiped away with a wet clothes without even putting much effort in. So overall it was ok, rooms were nice and location was good. Read less

Each Summer we travel to Toronto to take in a Blue Jays Game & visit the CNE. My wife and I have stayed at numerous Toronto hotels and chose the Novotel after finding a fair price on-line and its location. It is a short walk from Union Station and the Hockey Hall of Fame, numerous restaurants including The Keg our favourite directly across the street. There are numerous other bars & restaurants along the Esplanade. Our room was ready and check-in was quick upon our arrival. Front desk staff are very professional and welcoming. Our room was modern, clean and bed was very comfortable. Our window was relatively small allowing limited natural light with a view from the front of the Hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were fine, albeit, a change room would have been nice. There is a washroom located one floor down that you have to take a set of steep stairs. We enjoyed our breakfast which was included in our room package and service was wonderful. Great selection. If you enjoy walking this is a perfect location. We walked to see the Jays Game and took in the Hockey Hall of Fame which had a special Gordie Howe / Wayne Gretzky exhibit. The St. Lawrence Market is also nearby. The next day we walked to Union Station and took the GO train one stop to the Exhibition. I find that especially during the summer months Downtown Toronto Hotels can be quite pricey so it sure was nice to find a fair deal at the Novotel. We will definitely be back and I recommend staying here. Read less

I stayed three nights in Toronto's Downtown Novotel. staff were polite and helpful, also suggested a number of sightseeing place. Room service staff was good too. Not much choices for breakfast which the hotel should be improved.
