Although road construction was ugly in this area it was great for pedestrians walking around. This location is perfect for anything to do with entertainment in Toronto. Location is key. Walking distance to Rogers center and the Canadian tower. Lots of shops and food places nearby. Valet parking only, but you’ll have in and out privileges- if you choose the parking lots close by, it’s cheaper but no in and out privileges for them. The rooms are large (we had the two bedroom suite). Full kitchen. We Had minor issues with the room- pull out sofa was broken, but was fixed with a call to the front desk. The bathroom layout is weird- the tub is against the back wall, then the toilet in front of it, then the towel rods, which is located above the toilet paper rolls. So u have to reach over the toilet to get your towels when coming out of the shower, and your towels touch the toilet paper if you place it on the bottom towel rack. It’s just nit-picking, but I wonder who the contractor was who approved that layout... Anyways, a great place to stay with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Read less

I recently spent 5 nights here. The hotel is walking distance from Union Station which makes the trip from Pearson airport via UP Express very fast and convenient. Check in was handled quickly and efficiently by welcoming and friendly front desk personnel. Every interaction I had with them during my stay was a pleasure - they were extremely helpful and professional. The rooms are large with comfortable beds, seating area with sofa bed, kitchenette with small dining table, two ring cooktop, fridge, coffeemaker and toaster. The housekeeping staff keep everything spotlessly clean. They too are very friendly and respond quickly to all requests for service. Unlike a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in, I didn’t hear any noise during the night - either from the street or other rooms - and so slept very well. The breakfast area does get crowded and busy at certain times which is why it’s nice to have the option of grabbing a few things on a tray and heading back to eat in the room. So much better than being cramped in a small hotel room. Food quality/selection could be improved but I always appreciate having a hot breakfast included in the room rate. The hotel is conveniently located with an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. If I return to Toronto, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at the Marriott Residence Inn. Read less
