I am a long time Marriott Bonvoy rewards member and this was the first time staying at the Residence Inn Toronto. Even before arriving, I had the pleasure of speaking with a very nice, professional and hospitable woman by the name of "Allin" from the front desk. Not only was she able to provide us with an early check in, I was grateful that an out of town guest of mine, who arrived prior to my arrival, was able to check in early prior to my arrival Another individual who made some good suggestions and was very professional was "Amir" at the front desk. We had a nice room with a Queen and Sofa Bed, decent layout and nice view of the CN Tower. The housekeeping on Saturday August 17th, 2019 on the 15th floor, was just sensational, the room was so clean you could ear off the floor and they were very gracious in getting us things, including having Ice brought to our room, which is usually only found at Marriott Category 6 hotels. The only issue we had with the beautiful room, was the Quality of the mattress, while it was OK, it was not up to Marriott standards. We did report this to the management and they were very quick to get back to us and stated, it would be looked at and in any event, they plan to soon upgrade the mattresses soon. Surprisingly, the peace and quiet at night for the sleep was great, not a sound we heard for being in downtown Toronto. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very plentiful and fresh, the hostesses on Sunday August 18th, 2019, did a great job seating people. I would suggest, that they add some Fresh Muffins to the breakfast offerings, but everything else was good. Yes people it can get very busy and yes there can be a big line up, the key is to get up early and get down for breakfast. I did have an issue with being credited with points for my stay, but no fault of the Hotel, the Manager Kay, very hands on, even tried to assist me with Marriott Bonvoy, but to no avail. All in all this is a very good choice people, for a very clean, decent size room and good service. Management please thank "Ailin:, "Amir" "Kay" and the housekeeping staff for the 15th floor. We will return Read less

My friend visiting from Washington DC area joined me to stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in downtown Toronto’s entertainment district this past weekend for TIFF. The location was fabulous as it was close to the theatres we were visiting and many restaurants were nearby to chose from. The one bedroom suite we had with a full kitchen was wonderful. The only issue we had was the room safe was not working and unfortunately it was never resolved. Other than this, the included hot/cold buffet breakfast was more than adequate and all staff we met were friendly. I have read some comments about $50/Day valet parking which is very expensive. FYI, There is a nearby lot which is more affordable. Do your research. In conclusion, I want to complement Domenic Chiu, Director of Sales, who was very kind and helpful when I made my reservation months ago. Read less

The welcome was very nic at this hotel, quick and hassle free, just a credit card swipe for any extra items. There is a small area serving cold drinks, crisps and snacks you collect them take them to the reception and it charged to you card. There are three fairly fast lifts in this hotel they were operating perfectly during our visit. We were situated on the 17th Floor not to far from the lift. The room had a kitchen, lounge/bed area, a wash basin and closet are, plus a bathroom toilet and shower is in the bath. We found the room clean and tidy. The kitchen has a toaster, coffee machine, fridge freezer and a dishwasher, plus a small number of knives, forks, glasses, cup etc. The bathroom has two small bars of soap and shampoo plus body lotion. The room is cleaned and the beds are made everyday. The only downside to this side of the hotel is you over look a power plant. The breakfast is a hot buffet with scrambled eggs with lots of other things including fruit, coffee and teas. If you run out of anything just ask and they fill it up again. The bar is only open in the evening on the night we went to the bar, we met a barman by the name of Randolph he is a very knowledgeable person when it come to drinks and if he has time some of his close up magic tricks are impressive. Unfortunately the hotel does not serve lunch or dinner but there are unite a number of restaurants in the district. Everywhere is no smoking inside the hotel. However one little thing was the height of the best which was a Queen size, my wife and I couldn’t put our feet on the floor whilst sat on the bed. It actually became a standing joke with us and you need a head for heights lol 😂. But on the whole I was impressed with the hotel. There is Valet parking but not sure of the cost etc. The room has an ironing board and iron in the closet plus a safe. Make sure you can remember the sequence of your number as I believe it will not be abled to open it in the hotel. Read less
