20 rooms. Forestview Rooms are nestled among the cedars and ferns, with private decks from which to admire the views. The cosy, duvet-covered beds with fluffy pillows are sure to provide a peaceful night’s sleep and the complimentary coffee will be the perfect morning fuel.

Day 1: Arrive at The West Coast Wilderness Lodge

Arrive at West Coast Wilderness Lodge amid picturesque surrounds and views of the remote Sunshine Coast. To really enjoy the lakes, fjords, islands, and cedar and fir forests, the lodge has everything from fishing gear to mountain bikes for rent, as well as guided treks and trips, and picnics. Enjoy your dinner of authentic BC fare. Dinner included.

Day 2

Embark on a self-guided hike out to the Skookumchuck Rapids, located an easy 3km casual hike from the lodge. These rapids create a dazzling array of standing waves, overfalls and whirlpools. Rest of the day at leisure. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 3

After breakfast, it’s time to check out and leave the West Coast Wilderness Lodge.

 

3-Night Package:

Arrive at West Coast Wilderness Lodge amid picturesque surrounds and views of the remote Sunshine Coast. Day 2

Today embark on a cruise up the shoreline of Jarvis Inlet. You will sail past towering, 2100 metre-high cliffs and dozens of waterfalls. The tour fords through Malibu Rapids, entering Princess Louisa Inlet - a spectacular fjord renowned for its landscape and protected waters. After a scenic tour around the inlet and leisurely cruise back to the lodge, the rest of the day is at leisure. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 3

Set out on a self-guided hike out to the Skookumchuck Rapids, located an easy 3km casual hike from the lodge. This dynamic waterway is the fastest salt water rapids in North America, with current exceeding 16 knots, creating a dazzling array of standing waves, small falls and 20-metre wide whirlpools. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 4

After breakfast, independently depart the lodge as your package comes to an end.

Visa requirements

Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA)

Visitors travelling to or transiting through Canada by air are now expected to get an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) to enter Canada. If you’re arriving into Canada by air from either the UK or another destination e.g. the USA, you’ll need an eTA. This costs CA$7 and lasts for 5 years or until your passport expires, whichever is first. If you’re travelling by land or sea, you won’t need an eTA when you enter Canada. However, you must travel with acceptable travel documents and identification, i.e. your passport.
