My daughter got married in Tofino the first weekend in August. A bit challenging because of the pandemic and the rain that tends to be in Tofino. The Team at the Best Western were ready for all outcomes and we did not worry one bit about what would occur. The staff made it an epic and special wedding. The Team at the Best Western were ready for all outcomes and we did not worry one bit about what would occur. The staff made it an epic and special wedding. The Tin Wis is one of our favourite places. The views from all th rooms are spectacular and no walk to the beach. you are practically on the beach. McKenzie Beach is very sandy huge and the waves can be a little calmer than at Cox or Chesterman. The staff are professional and friendly.

We've stayed here a couple times. The view and location are great. Customer service has been consistently good. The on-site surfboard/paddle board rental shop is a nice feature. This is a property that lets you make the most of the oceanfront location. It's pricey, but isn't all Tofino beachfront?

This was our second time at BW Tin Wis and we enjoyed our time here this year just as much as our first visit four years ago, in spite of the closure of many amenities due to COVID. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, the king executive suite and it was absolutely lovely. Full kitchenette with oven, stove, full sized fridge - which was all extremely useful for our family of four. The only thing missing in terms of the kitchen were baking sheets for the oven and a frying pan, other than that, all we needed was provided. The view from the patio ( we were on the ground floor) and bedroom cannot be beat! We spent many mornings/evenings simply sitting on the patio enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. Mackenzie Beach is lovely, and we had no idea so many people built beach fires in the evening! The only thing I was slightly disappointed in, was the lack of healthier breakfast options for the Grab and Go breakfast. It would have been nice to have options such as unsweetened oatmeal, plain yogurt and even bagels. It wasn’t a huge deal for us, as we ended up making many of our breakfasts in our room. But seeing as how we were paying for “ breakfast included” it would have been nice to have taken advantage of it. Other than that, the staff was wonderful, we had an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend! Read less
