Great room with great view. we appreciated being able to bring our Great Dane for $20 more. The parking fee is extra, but it is actually quite nice that the hotel collects the $9/day fee on behalf of the city. There isn't much elsewhere to park unless one is ready for a 10 minute walk.

Safety first (2 family members slipped in the bath tub) small note hidden behind the shower curtain and antiskid mat on the floor. Too long wait time for buying the hotel accessories (towel) Front desk lady had a blank face when I informed that we slipped in the bath tub.

Arrived exhausted after moving house in a snow storm. Had a warm welcome from staff who know us by name. The room, designated ‘comfort’, was bright and comfortable with a view of the harbour. Had dinner two nights running in Minows and the food and service were excellent both times. Dishes enjoyed included BC salmon with a wild berry and mustard crust, lobster ravioli and tenderloin - not forgetting the clam chowder. Breakfast has always been good here with prompt service and good food. Next door to the Port Theatre with excellent parking. Read less

Very friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. Close to all the local spots. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Nanaimo area. And don't forget to visit the Firehouse Grill and the Local for some local threads.

I stayed on a snow day and rooms were clean and comfortable with good quality linen, tolietries. Nice TV and unexpectedly good restaurant (Minnoz). Ideal location for downtown and harbour and right opposite float plane terminal. Not far from the hospital. Lots of walkable retaurants. Should be first choice in Nanaimo!
