The beds were super comfy and the rooms were well kept. All rooms have balconies overlooking the ocean so you could go to sleep listening to the waves. The bistro seemed a little soulless and the food was average. It probably loses out to the great food on offer in Tofino and the free shuttle buses that run in and out of the town and stop nearby. The on site surf shop are super friendly and taught us to paddle board (well, most of us!). The clothes washing facilities are good too with free detergent, shame the hot tub was out of action. We really liked it and if you like BBQ on the beach and sand in your hair you'll like it too. Read less

This was our 3rd visit here and I’m so disappointed... And really really sad that a truly unique hotel with so much potential has lost its shine. I think management needs a shake up. The building needs upkeep, rooms need a refresher, the hot tubs were not working, and the Bistro was awful. The 2 nights we were there the patio/lounge was not open… Read more

The building needs upkeep, rooms need a refresher, the hot tubs were not working, and the Bistro was awful. The 2 nights we were there the patio/lounge was not open and it took 20 minutes to get served a drink even though there were only 2 other tables with customers...🤷‍♀️ What happened to the great place it once was??!! Unfortunately we won’t be back unless there are some major improvements. I should add it was over $1100 for 2 nights - not remotely worth that price tag. Read less

The hotel is not luxurious, but it is very well maintained and clean. The food is excellent and so is the service. There is a small surf shop on site where we rented boards that was very helpful. We had adjoining rooms and the hotel was very quiet and serene. The best part is the beach which is beautiful. We love staying at the Tin Wis and contributing to the success of a native business enterprise. The native decor and ambience is really cool and reminds you where you are. Read less

Wife and I spent the Christmas eve there. This resort has a rustic feel to it. Resort staff are well mannered, rooms are old but clean and quiet. Beach is just outside the hotel, had a wonderful time by the beach.
