I stayed at this hotel “3” times this past month, and each time exceeded my expectations. The purpose of my stays were a spiritual retreat and also to take care of some valued friends from my church. The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional and always interested in the safety of the customer. Face coverings were worn properly by staff. Each member of the team was courteous to my guests during my stay. During these Covid-19 times rooms are not entered by staff daily unless requested specifically by the customer. The hallways, dining area and rooms were clean and very professionally maintained. The hotel and location exudes a sense of serenity that is complimented by the staff, and the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant for Titanium/Platinum members is a wonderful bonus! The restaurant staff during my stay remembered me personally and were very pleasant and friendly as if you could “see” the smile beneath their face covering. I felt at home. The hotel is situated perfectly by the Harbor, so much so that I will be coming a 4th time in recent days for another retreat. The beautiful walk along the Harbor connected to the hotel is an absolute must, and definitely Butchart gardens and a bike rental from the nearby shops is a must if quiet reflection is desired! Now an important note. I was particularly impressed by “Justin Foisy” who works at guest experiences in this hotel. First of all, not only is he very pleasant to talk with but he genuinely excels at his job. To be completely honest, on my first stay there was an issue with check-in concerning one of the rooms and a miscommunication that occurred. Justin and the other manager on staff showed genuine empathy for my situation and did their best not only to resolve the issue, but to go over the top in accommodating that my experience at the hotel was pleasant. On each of my stays the staff at this hotel have treated my valued guests and I with the highest care and concern! The true mark of a great hotel is not one that never makes a mistake. The staff work hard, but life does happen and mistakes or miscommunication occur. It is during these times that grace and compassion on both parties are needed. However, what distinguishes a good hotel from a great hotel, is one that is willing to work with the customer to find a solution, while showing genuine empathy and compassion. When hotels are strictly concerned about profits this doesn’t happen, however at the Delta Hotel in Victoria, it was their concern for the customer that made this hotel get top marks in my books! I have recommended your hotel to friends and will continue coming here when in the Victoria area! Thank you Marriot! Read less

Walking distance to the main city centre restaurants and pubs. Nice clean hotel and service was good. The views are excellent looking back at the city centre. We prefer this location as it is a quiet area.

We booked this hotel as part of a B.C. Ferries vacation package. We had such a good stay and enjoyed our room, the fresh air and the view of the Inner Harbour and all the goings on. While the Covid still restricts travel and tourism, we lucked out. Perfect weather, great service and no crowds.

Large clean room. The cleaning crews don’t clean or enter the room while you are staying because of the COVID recommendations. I guess if you needed them to clean, they would. If you need anything the front desk will provide it. Parking was a bit expensive
