You wrote a review for Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort 15 hours ago 6/13/2019 It's not a high quality or high level service hotel. Every where you turn there is an amenity that is either closed, broken or being repaired and currently not in use. -Hot Tub/Pool closes at 11pm, which I think are generous hours. However, the hot tub was closed down well before that time for "cleaning." Then, moments before the pool closing at 11, the maintenance man took away all the signage and it was finished, just in time for closing hours. Couldn't you just have started this at 11 instead of taking away an amenity? -Monday morning. 9:35 am-ish, The club lounge breakfast (more on this in a moment) was over. The club room reeked of stagnant stale breakfast smells, barely tolerable. Repair man was working on the espresso machine, so couldn't get fresh coffee. He said "use the thermos" instead. Sure thing. Except one pump of them revealed that they were empty and there was no attendant in the club room to be found. Also most of the hotel smelled like fried food/grease. -Monday morning. 10:30am. Club Lounge now closed for the day. They had a makeshift area in a small uninviting conference room set up, except they didn't put out any to go coffee cups, so there was finally full carafes of coffee but nothing to take it with. -Sunday afternoon: quite a warm day out. Somehow the hotel had the heat on, in all the units and full property and they "couldn't figure out how to shut it off." -Requested extra pillows Sunday. Come Monday night, still didn't have those pillows. Had to request them again and they were finally delivered. It took 24 hours to fulfill a pillow request. Shouldn't be that difficult. Club lounge: Prob not worth the upgrade, one of the weakest club lounges I've been on. Charge for alcohol (tacky/uncommon), evening Hors d'oeuvres selection was cheap and uninspired (think cut up American cheese). Breakfast selection was actually better. Here's one issue with the club though. Monday morning 9:35 am, breakfast seemed long put away, no attendant to be found. (it does complete at 9:30) So, Tuesday, I'm sitting there and 9:32 it is still out. Families with children keep swarming the buffet and the attendants keep stopping from removing the items. So, some are on their take away cart (which tacky people are taking it off of) and some still on shelf. At 9:40 am, the breakfast is still out. YOU NEED TO BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR TIMING. At 9:35 am the day prior, I couldn't get breakfast but a day later, you still have it out because your attendants seem to be picking and choosing who gets to have breakfast and not doing their job. Room was standard. Bed leaned toward more uncomfortable than comfortable. Not terrible but not great. Had a backache every morning. Pillows could be much better. That's why we needed extra. There were smudges on windows when we entered room and fabric of chair near window could of been cleaned better. Other than that, it appeared pretty clean and was spacious. The view (harborside) is really what makes the room. It was an unbeatable view, I think the only hotel on that side of the harbor. Read less

I really enjoyed my stay here this past week. Wonderful view, front desk staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed the squash court, with free use of racquets and balls! Not many hotels that one of them. Great location, Victoria is gorgeous.

The beds are comfortable. The rooms are large and pleasant. The staff are WONDERFUL. Even the restaurant (which I have reviewed separately) is completely worthwhile. The grounds and view are spectacular. So what cost it that fifth dot? Insufficient elevators, especially for a hotel that holds large "events." The first two nights of our… Read more

The first two nights of our three-night stay, we had to wait and wait and wait for a turn on the elevators. Read less

Allan took us back to the ferry terminal. The attitude of these men really mirrored what we saw from the whole staff. They weren’t helping because it was their jobs, they were helping g because they cared. Thank you all for salvaging our weekend. True professionals and genuinely kind people. We hope to see you again soon. Read less

We’ve never had this happen to us when we’ve booked club level rooms before. The front desk said that the rooms on the club level are exactly the same as regular rooms and just have more shower amenities. If this is really the case...don’t book a club level room and pay more just for the snacks. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the club level rooms were the same...they were always nicer. They at least offered to waive parking fees but it doesn’t really make me feel any less dissapointed since I’m here for my birthday. Read less
