Very disappointed with this hotel rating. Sure, it was clean and the restaurant was good, but it is rated as “Superb” on Trip Advisor, which it sure is not! Very over priced and over rated. Far better hotels in Victoria for the same price. Even the lobby is stark and underwhelming.

Very efficient check-in with courteous staff. Warm oatmeal chocolate chip cookies available at check-in. The 10th floor provides a nice view of the Victoria Harbor if you can get over the back of the Empress Hotel blocking some of that great view! The 10th floor provides a nice view of the Victoria Harbor if you can get over the back of the Empress Hotel blocking some of that great view! The room was spacious, clean and not only had a fridge but also a microwave. It was a little outdated in terms of furniture and drapes. The bathroom was nicely updated. The balcony was small and had no furniture. The restaurant provided ample space for social distancing and the breakfast was very good. Read less

From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a friendly smile and a young woman that could not do enough to make us feel comfortable I knew I was in the right place. My husband and I were on a vacation during Covid and I wanted to be clean and safe. The first thing she did was upgrade us to a higher floor which was exciting because I wanted to see the beautiful city. We arrived in our room and the bed was cosy comfortable. High-quality linens and pillows, and a view to die for. The room was spotless and immaculate and I received a text quickly from the young lady at the front desk asking us if there was anything that she could do for us and how did we like our room. I replied that we were so impressed and thank you very much. The next morning we were having breakfast and I received another text asking if there was anything she could do if we needed fresh linens etc. because we had opted not to have housekeeping due to Covid. I replied that we did need some new linens she said she would have them waiting at the front desk along with fresh coffee to re-supply the room. We had such a lovely vacation and felt extremely comfortable and safe in our room, I never wanted to go home. I’ve posted a picture of the view from our room. Read less

We had a nice 2 day stay here, the only problems we encountered were the bedroom in our suite was very small...one had to squeeze between the wall and the foot of the bed...quite annoying. Other issue we had one night was a barking dog....constantly barking up till approx 12:45am....I have to admit the hotel had contacted the owners of the dog… Read more

Other issue we had one night was a barking dog....constantly barking up till approx 12:45am....I have to admit the hotel had contacted the owners of the dog and asked them to return to the hotel... The hotel has great views and the location is superb... The young man at the front desk needs to be singled out as his service was wonderful...I believe he was a manager, if not he should have been... The hotel did include a very good full breakfast in the on site restaurant. Read less
