Hotel Grand Pacific

Victoria, Vancouver Island

The hotel

One of Victoria’s most coveted addresses is just the first of many ‘pluses’ at Hotel Grand Pacific. Even though it skirts the town’s beautiful Inner Harbour, perched by the BC Legislature and Parliament Buildings and 2 blocks from downtown’s dining and shopping scene, they’ve got a collection of city cruiser bikes ready in case you fancy exploring by pedal rather than on foot. Of course, you might prefer to just ‘stay in’ at this romantic chateau-style hotel — and there are plenty of reasons you would. You could soak up the ocean air from your private balcony. You could soak in the sumptuous pool and Jacuzzi at Victoria Athletic Club. You could also sink your teeth into authentic BC delights at its dining outlets, with its West Coast Afternoon Tea giving you the opportunity to experience this Victoria ‘institution’ first hand.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great stay on a quick business trip

I had a two night stay for a quick business trip. The room I was given was just the right size for one person and had a pleasant enough view. The bed was super comfortable if you like having a firm mattress. The shower was also very large with plenty of water pressure. The front desk staff were helpful in addressing any concerns I had. My breakfast was not included in the price so I can't comment on it other than being advised it was a buffet and the cash price would have been in the low $20s. The hotel itself is quick walk to the city centre. In terms of other amenities there is access to the gym for those inclined. If you're willing to walk a few more minutes there are grocery stores, convenience stores, and the usual fast food/pizza options the opposite direction of downtown. I would definitely stay here again. Read less

Always find the rooms clean and comfortable. I know that here I can simply relax and enjoy my time there. Even enjoyed the hot tub this time round. Only disappointment was an elevator out of service while there was a hockey team staying at the hotel also.

I have stayed at this hotel before and it is very good...the most recent trip was over the top excellent. They have great food and amenities (a 25 metre pool and large gym) and of course right on the water...so that's great BUT on top of that they have amazing staff. The one thing that also sets them apart is that when something doesn't go… Read more

The one thing that also sets them apart is that when something doesn't go exactly as it should, they deal with it...they need to teach Air Canada a few things about customer service! Read less

Our first trip to Victoria was truly enhanced by the Grand Pacific. The accommodations were comfortable and nice--and the entire staff during our stay was pleasant, helpful, and courteous. This hotel and staff are great ambassadors for the town of Victoria.
