The resort was very nice, without being overly fussy. All of the staff we encountered were great- warm, friendly. They came around in evening and checked to see if anything was needed. Linens and bath products were very nice as was shower. Didn’t try the tub as we spent lots of time in the fantastic pools

We decided to avoid the crowded downtown waterfront area and stay in Oak Bay. So glad we did. We had a car and there’s free hotel parking so we were able to go all over the island and even drove to Butchart Gardens (highly recommend!). The pool area is relaxing and again the views are amazing. Delicious food in the restaurant and bar areas. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel and can’t wait to go back! Read less

While visiting Victoria with family, my fiancé and I stayed at Oak Bay—extremely romantic and in an excellent location! In the village of Oak Bay, there are nearby restaurants and shopping. It is a $20 cab fare or concierge ride to downtown. We enjoyed not staying right downtown with all the tourism and traffic. There was excellent dining on site.… Read more

It is a $20 cab fare or concierge ride to downtown. We enjoyed not staying right downtown with all the tourism and traffic. There was excellent dining on site. All staff were gracious and helpful! We really enjoyed the mineral pools and drinks at poolside. There was even a fire pit at the mineral pool where we sat one evening and enjoyed wine. The coffee shop serves great breakfast foods and coffee. The room, King Suite, partial ocean view was more spacious than we anticipated. Oak Bay truly went above and beyond our expectations in many, many ways. We would recommend anyone visiting Victoria to stay at Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Read less

Arrived on Labor Day for a two night stay. The rates I feel were a tad high for after the long weekend. The view was beautiful! Only downfall was some selfish person insisted on smoking on their balcony!!! I just about tossed my cookies from the smell of the smoke! Then the culprit had to spray cologne to “hide” the smell..Good luck with that one could not enjoy the balcony because of these selfish people. There is no food choices for lactose intolerant people..No continental breakfast either.. For such high rates one would think breakfast is included? I guess NOT. Printed off boarding passes in the lobby via front desk . Nice to help but had to tell the person to (empty all history and cache on computer as lots of information is left on for prying eyes) not a very secure system for privacy. Nice that the pool is adult only was a pleasure to relax and not have to listen to loud children! Nice stay but some improvements needed to make it more reasonable for the price one pays to stay...
