Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in downtown Vancouver however it is located beside a hospital so be prepared to be awakened every half hour to the sound of an ambulance and the windows don't block any of the sound. The hotel is in downtown Vancouver however it is located beside a hospital so be prepared to be awakened every half hour to the sound of an ambulance and the windows don't block any of the sound. I did not get much sleep my first night. At one point I thought my window was open. It wasn't. The rooms are also outdated. While they do have flat screen televisions, the suite seemed more like a very spacious dorm room. The king size bed was very nice but it was too big for the bedroom so there wasn't a lot of room to get around it. Also, it seems the bedroom tv may have been an after thought as its location was odd and was right in front of the mirror on the wall. The balcony door didn't seal which would have been worse in a climate different than Vancouver and the lock was damaged. My room was on the 17th floor...but still. Read less

Our stay started with meeting Jesse, the bellman. Every hotel should have a person like Jesse. He was very professional, very friendly, helpful and he set our expectations pretty high for our stay. Checking was pretty smooth and off to our room. The room itself was nice. Not 5 star but close. Very clean, nice layout and did not expect the kitchenette. We looked towards the hospital, which is right next door, and had a pretty nice view. I found the room itself pretty quiet with the majority of noise coming from street level even though we were on the 23 floor. Parking was very convenient and had zero issues. The hotel itself is situated very close to Davie street with some very good food choices. Close enough to walk to Robson street , on one side, the beech on the other. I will for sure look at this hotel for future stays. Read less

Good hotel, attentive ataff, with gym, laundry, swimming pool, restaurant, good location. Big and confortable room with a very nice bed... There is a hospital very close by and I was awaken by sirens at some point during all the nights - maybe because my room was too close to the hospital (ending in 03)

Upon arrival we were met with a helpful doorman and the interior of the lobby was nice. We thought so far, so good. However when we checked into our room, it was obvious this hotel is a 2 star hotel as best. It is very dated and overlooked the parking lot. The room had a kitchenette (not requested) and a somewhat spacious living area. The bathroom however was very small and the bed was rock hard. These rooms would not be out of place in a remote, small town somewhere in Western Canada. We should have asked for another room but figured we couldn't afford any other hotel in the area. But after a very poor sleep, we checked Expedia and found a room at the new Sheraton across the street for an additional $10/night. We packed up and moved to the Sheraton first thing in the morning - it was fabulous. Read less
