Cleaning rag left on the counter and an overpowering smell from whatever cleaners were used that was still present what we got back to our room at midnight after a concert. The king bed was nice but it was odd that only one side of the bed had a side table - no lamp or plugs to charge my phone while sleeping.

The location of the hotel is fantastic very central to most of the attractions. Only a short walk down to the water front where most of the trips departed from. A added bonus was the hop-on-off bus stopped outside. The staff were very professional and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were staying in a self-catering suite and had to ask for crockery and cutlery. It would have been nice if they were standard in the room. While we were there, some building work on the church next to the hotel was in progress. Hence you had building noise from 7am. We didn't find this a problem as it made us get up and out to explore the wonderful city. If you are on the west side of the hotel you get the added bonus of seeing the fireworks display from your room. We would recommend this hotel for a short or extended stay in Vancouver. Read less
