This hotel is located right in the middle of town (Gastown) and just steps away from the Port of Vancouver and Convention Center. Hotel is only about 30 minutes away from YVR Airport and another 30 minutes from Capilano Suspension Bridge attraction. It's also steps away from the Vancouver Walkout Tower. Hotel has a nice spacious lobby with sitting area. Some parts of the hotel was under renovation when he visited. There was also Hot Apple Cider for guests in the lobby. The room we were in had city views though you can't see too far away as views are blocked by neighboring skyscrapers. Room was spacious! Had a nice seating area with a pull out sofa bed and a chair facing a tv and work table. The bedroom area was also spacious and also had a tv and closet. It was a comfortable space for a family of 2 adults + 2 younger children. Wifi is available at the hotel. For those who are driving, we recommend parking in the parking garage directly under the hotel instead of the one across the street though it may be cheaper. We had our rental car broken into although the only thing in there was just a charger. The staff at the hotel was friendly. We didn't have much interaction with them but at check-in and check-out, they were polite and pleasant. There are a host of dining options in the vicinity, whether it be fine dining or fast food. We would consider staying here again on our next trip to Vancouver. Read less

Can’t wait to stay again next time we are taking in a concert at Rogers Arena. The hotel was in walking distance to the arena and also had lots of stores and restaurants around. The hotel it self was very modern, exceptionally clean and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend!

Long time Marriott/Starwood Customer and have stayed at the best Starwood/Marriott chain of hotels around the world (travelled to over 40 countries). Our family is currently going thru’ the WORST possible experience on my Daughter’s Bday and the way the Duty Manager (Brad) is responding to the situation is even worse. Please run away from this hotel and more importantly avoid their Breakfast by any means. For $27 (steep price for Breakfast), you get nothing. It was worst than what we get in a motel or a cheap hotel elsewhere. What happened to the good hospitality experience we are used to receiving in the old Starwood/Marriott chain? Where is Customer empathy and good Customer experience? Drove all the way from Seattle to stay at this hotel to celebrate my Daughter’s Birthday. Upon checking in, Yumei (person at the front desk) promised to send us some surprise stuff for my Daughter’s Birthday and unfortunately my Daughter was next to me when she mentioned that. She was anxiously expecting that gift and we waited patiently in our room for LONG and no communication on whether her surprise gifts were going to arrive or not. In the meanwhile, while waiting I had to call multiple times for basic amenities like body washes and shampoos. The guy who came the first time missed body washes completely and I had to call two more times (prolonged wait period inbetwen those two calls) to get the body wash. The reason I was given was, the house keeping was busy and I don’t understand how they can miss bringing them at the first place and why no one showed up after my second call to remind them again. Since the surprise didn’t show up in our room and we waited long enough, we decide to head out with a disappointed daughter. When I asked Yumei (the front desk person who promised that surprise) on what happened, she said the Kitchen closed at 5pm (heard from the restaurant manager Jennifer now that was a lie and she is going to investigate). Yumei to compensate for not delivering on her promise, gave breakfast coupons for our family. Before going to sleep, I called the reception to check until what time the breakfast is open and the person who received the call said it’s open until noon since it’s a Sunday. We walk it at around 10.50 and the person who met (not greet) in the restaurant was reluctant to even take us in and said they are about to close. I told her that we were informed that the restaurant is open until noon and she was annoyed and asked us to hurry and finish our bereakfast ASAP as they need to close. There was nothing left on the breakfast spread, no fruits, very cold scrambled eggs and potatoes and the person who was supposed to make the Omellets was missing. Had to call for basics like pancakes and it never came on time as I was later informed that they had to cook somewhere downstairs and bring it to the second floor and over 20 mins for a basic pancake? My Birthday daughter and family walked out disappointed and when I brought all these to the restaurant manager (Jennifer Greenman), she was emphathetic and mentioned she would compensate by providing points and refund for the breakfast. She said she will work with the Manager and come back only to let me know that she can’t do both as the break fast was provided for free and she doesn’t have the power to provide points too to compensate. I asked her to take me to her Manager on duty to talk on why they can’t compensate for all this mess ups and the front desk Manager (Brad) was super defensive, harsh and stubborn on saying that he can’t do anything even after my Daughter’s entire Birthday experience was ruined by MULTIPLE mishaps all through (not just one). I asked Brad to put it in writing on why he is denying to compensate whar Jennifer promised to me and he denied to do that too. When I told them that I wanted to talk to the hotel manager, they had me send him an email as that was the only way I can communicate to him as it’s a Sunday. Brad mentioned he has also messaged Barry of this situation and he will call me immediately on my cell phone. It’s been almost an hour since I sent that email and I’m still waiting for a call from the hotel Manager. There are numerous nice hotels nearby and run away from this hotel if you can unless you want to experience the worst experience of life and encounter what it feels to get harassed! Read less

Stayed at a high floor. It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was perfect and I loved how the bedroom was in a separate nook.
