This hotel is a top hotel by anyone’s standards. We had a beautiful suite, loved the restaurant, great service, helpful hotel car service, good location. I’m going back on business in May. Love the history and provenance of the hotel. Great selection of meeting rooms for a mid sized conference. Very cool bar off the lobby.

I want to be balanced with my review, but I always have high expectations of Four Seasons property, having stayed at several across the globe. We just came off the Canadian train from Toronto, and we're looking forward to our stay. It fell short of the high standards I have come to expect from them. We arrived early evening, and it had just snowed. That in itself appears to take Vancouver a little by surprise, so the arrivals area was a little busy, but understandable. Bell guys greeted us, and pointed us to the escalator where you go up to the reception/check in area. Busy up there. Reminded me of a Times Square type hotel. Check in was fine, and we found our way up to our room. Interestingly, other Four Seasons properties I've stayed at escort you to your room, but they didn't escort my wife and I. That's ok, I don't need my hand held for such things to be honest, but I guess it does give you the chance to ask questions about your room. We were tired and opted for room service. Advised 40/45 minutes. I called at 50 minutes to check on status. Called again on 60 minutes. Finally it arrived about 70 minutes later. "Busy" was the response. Ok, so don't tell me 40/45 minutes then. Tell me 60/75 minutes. The food was good, but the long wait (pizza) sort of spoiled it. There was a mess up with our laundry (to his credit the manager responsible DID do his best to rectify it) which I won't go into, as it's history now. I like the location of the hotel, particularly as you can walk straight into the shopping mall from the hotel without going outside. Our room was fine, but again slightly NY Manhattan looking. Decent view, but right by the lifts/elevators and extraordinarily noisy as a graduation or Sweet 16 party was staying there. I'd avoid a room by the lifts as a recommendation. There is one hotel restaurant at the hotel, and I was disappointed that we couldn't get seated in there as a hotel guest. To be fair, the restaurant manager has reached out to me in the regard, but tough to talk to him with the time difference. But, he tried. It's just frustrating as a hotel guest not to get seated somehow for a meal. My fault for not booking maybe. On the plus side, the hotel concierge was extremely helpful in finding us other eating alternatives. All in all, it was very very busy. Repeating a point, like a busy New York hotel. Takes away from the exclusive nature of the Four Seasons in my opinion. Read less

We stayed here 1 night as we were flying out of Vancouver. We booked two rooms. The rooms seemed rather small and a bit dated. One of my kids opened the curtains and sarcastically said, "look Daddy, we have a view of business meetings". My wife liked the work out facilities and it's a stone's throw from a lot of shopping. Stayed only for a brief night before heading up to Whistler. Location couldn't have been any more convenient in Downtown Vancouver, and was a close walk to the Harbour and Gaslamp district. From a friends recommendation, we ended up taking the train direct from the airport to City Center and got out of the station and the Four Seasons was right across the street, a very pleasant surprise. The hotel bar was fantastic as well. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver, and we'll be sure to return. Read less
