A few of them even popped up. Wonderful help in changing money, and printing out boarding passes when their business center computer wouldn't cooperate. Would be happy to be here again if this is where the conference is held again. Fun enclosed pool area, in house spa, and multi-level rooms. True, housekeeping was always a bit late, but, most of us weren't in our rooms anyway. Read less

My family only needed to stay one night for an event so we took advantage of redeeming points from an associated airlines, thus the room was free and we only had to pay for parking (~$26/day; not unreasonable for downtown). Although the room appeared clean upon first sight, we found a dirty tea cup with dried up tea leaves still inside it and an old sock in a dark corner by the washroom. Figuring that most businesses would give you an inferior product if it's for free like in my case, I still mentioned the 2 issues I had with front desk when I checked out. Well the receptionist was most apologetic, took note of my room number to deal with the issues and credited me with free parking (which lasts until 6pm even though check-out is 11 am) so this stay cost me nothing! Everything was otherwise fine with the room, nice to have the coffee/tea station OUT OF THE WASHROOM (unlike some hotels, and it irks me to make my hot beverages in a washroom), and another staff member at front desk stepped up to find me (via Google) the nearest tea shop so I could buy my friend a gift before I left the hotel. So service here is exemplary. Even if you are staying for free! Read less

Booked a Queen Studio Suite; thinking it was a bigger room; only to find out - it was a standard sized room, with a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker. Positive note - hotel is in a great location, was clean, view of courtyard with flowers - starbucks and Tim Hortons close by. Recommend Earls happy hour (Buffalo cauliflower, and pizza was good)… Read more

Not good value for money. They are trying to make the rooms fresher with some new finishing but the room layout is odd with a sink in the closet and in what is overall a very tired and sad building covered in pigeon netting. (why is there even a balcony? It’s about 6 square feet in size). Overall, a very odd place but with nice and front desk… Read more

We all walked to Gastown, Yaletown, and Chinatown. *Bus stops are 1 block away (for both the public bus and Hop-On, Hop-Off) *Helpful staff *Umbrella in closet *Microwave available upon request *Electric tea pot and Keurig in room *Mini-fridge in room *Free WiFi CONS *No a/c? Both rooms were always hot so we kept the windows open day and night. (We were on the 6th floor) *Spotty WiFi *Small elevators—6 adults (with NO room for luggage) is roughly the maximum occupancy *No outlets in bathroom! There are 6 outlets in the room—2 are by the microwave and wall-mounted hairdryer, 2 are near the TV and desk, and 3 are by the bed. *Faulty outlets by the microwave. In my room, when using the blow dryer, I had to physically hold and pull on the cord so the dryer would work. My in-laws had trouble with their Keurig—the coffee maker wasn’t defective, but was the outlet was. *No in-room safe *Thin walls—if you have noisy neighbors, you’re out of luck. Read less
