Hotel is a great location for visitors seeking accommodations close to BC Place and Rogers Arena. I offer a mixed review - mostly due to value but also due to some inconveniences. The hotel lobby and rooms are lovely. The hotel is open less than a year, and it shines with newness, which is a welcome change to some hotels that show their wear over the years, even after renovations. The hotel is part of a multi-use complex - 2 hotels and a casino - and there are a number of dining choices on site for visitors that do not wish to go out. For those who do venture out, you will find endless choices in nearby Yaletown and in downtown, which is about a 10 minute walk. Our room was very clean and mostly comfortable. It is more suited for a single business person than a couple on vacation. In addition to a king-sized bed, our room had one modern-upholstered chair with a matching chair at the desk area. There was a backless lounge seat in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, which provided additional seating, though not for TV watching or reading due to having no back. We found it rather odd that most of the lights in the room were connected to a single switch that was activated either upon entering the room or on one side of the bed. This seemed odd for 2 reasons. First, is that for a hotel chain that promotes conservation it seemed wasteful to turn on lights on both sides of the bed, overhead in the hallway and above the bed spotlighting the framed picture if you only need light on one side of the bed. Second, it was inconvenient to have all lights on, instead of just one or two, and have the controls only on one side of the bed (or at the room entry way). The bathroom was a mix of spacious and small and featured nicely-scented toiletries that were awkward to dispense. First, the space. The walk-in shower was very spacious and included a rainfall shower head, which was a nice feature to enable the water-conserving fixture to deliver a good stream of water. The body wash, shampoo and hair conditioner were in small plastic bottles with pump dispensers that were mounted to the wall in metal holders. These were very awkward to use. Many hotels are converting to wall-mounted dispensers that are meant to be wall-mounted dispensers. These counter-top bottles were just very difficult to dispense as presented. The toilet area was separated by a glass door that matched the adjacent shower door. The area was spacious, perhaps too much so, and offered good ventilation. The sink area was cramped and cumbersome. The counter space surrounding the large sink was very small, offering little space for one person's toiletries, let alone two people. The water-conserving faucet delivered barely enough water to rinse toothpaste out of my mouth and did not enable you to control the flow to decrease to a trickle to clean a contact lens. It was a very week flow that, in my opinion, was unsuitable. In addition, there was no regulating the water temperature. You either got cold water or hot water, but turning both faucets on did not produce warm water. So, between water flow and temperature, I found the sink to be both irritating and inconvenient. Other hotel amenities included an on-site casino and on-site self-parking and valet parking. Both parking options were more reasonably priced than many nearby hotels. All in all, this is a nice hotel. It would not be a first choice for my next vacation, but would offer adequate accommodation for my next business trip. It is comparably priced to other luxury hotels in the area, with no true luxury value or amenity. The staff was pleasant and helpful. And, it bears repeating, the hotel is open less than a year as of this writing, so it still has a new and clean appearance which I hope will stand the test of time. Read less

The concierge lounge was on a lower floor and was very large and spacious with many options for food, snacks and drinks available. I sat in the back corner and watched the Dragonboat races while I had breakfast. There was an easy 15 min walk to the restaurants in Yaletown and a 5-10 min walk to BC Place and Rogers Arena.
