I do about 40-60 nights a year and mostly lately with Bonvoy and I have to say how disappointed I was by a recent trip. Firstly as a Gold member I was put in a room (which cost me around $300) that was so gross it was a room that should not have been rented out for $50 per night. I do about 40-60 nights a year and mostly lately with Bonvoy and I have to say how disappointed I was by a recent trip. Firstly as a Gold member I was put in a room (which cost me around $300) that was so gross it was a room that should not have been rented out for $50 per night. The carpet was old, stained and had what appeared to be mold (see pics). The worst part was all these bumps under the carpet (see pics) which were a tripping hazard. I still wonder what got caught under the carpet but it was weird and gross. The furniture was dated and stained (see pic) and I couldn’t work in room because it was just gross. There was no bottled water to buy or get without going across the street to a store. This is ALL not acceptable for a final bill that was almost $700 for 2 nights. One of the 2 main elevators was out and the hot tub was broken. I could go on with more examples and pics but let’s just say it wasn’t a great experience. Yes the hotel was full and yes I checked in around 9 PM...but that’s not my fault. Now here’s my biggest issue. I sent this information to Bonvoy and asked for a call back from someone to discuss this stay. Twice they just gave me a few points back as compensation yet my repeated request was a call back to discuss the matter. I am still waiting for a call however at this point I doubt it will happen. As of now I have made 3 separate requests to discuss with someone. Maybe they don’t want to admit how bad and hazardous it was. Who knows. Let me also say that the staff at this hotel were SUPER nice and friendly and by no means is this a representation of the people who served me. Disappointed to say the least by the overall experience....hotel and Bonvoy. Read less

do not take a room at the back. they face a noisy 24 hour alley / loading bay. tow trucks, delivery trucks with their reverse back up beepers on at 1-2-3-4-5-6 am. Rooftop air-conditioning units right across from there rooms - loud and noisy. Plus, this is an ol hotel - never been remodelled. The windows are old and offer no sound proofing.… Read more

Bring ear plugs and a tolerance for noice if you book a room a the back facing the alley. DON'T BE FOOLED. The hotel calls this a "city view" on their website. It should be called the "back alley view with noisy 24 hour trucks and roof top aircon units keeping your wake" room...more appropriate. No sleep. Reception staff was nice. Bellman nice and helpful. Room is old and not currently in 4-star condition. Read less

If you must stay here, bring earplugs, or only take a room facing the front of the hotel. The rooms were clean and well presented, but it's not 4-star. It has old, out-dated hotel rooms - needs updating. Only one working elevator for a hotel with 17 floors. Bellman, reception staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Cafes, shops, banks, transit all within the area. Read less

The Met is a clean and efficient hotel. Most of the staff have been there for years and are always professional and accommodating. The rooms are perfect, as is the gym and indoor pool. The Hotels restaurant serves the most amazing breakfast. You’re just across the street from the Pacific center shopping mall too. We visit the Keg for dinner, just a block away. The hotel is perfectly located, just minutes walk from the cruise terminal and Pacific Rim Convention center. Read less

Our first room was not suitable so the reception were more than helpful to change it with courtesy and efficiency. I also want to mention the housekeeping on the 15th floor - she was so helpful to our needs, lovely lady.
