As a former Vancouverite I love my weekend visits home. On my last trip I got a great rate at the Pan Pacific and crossed my fingers - I know it looks like a great hotel, but with all the Cruise Ship passengers that pass through it, I thought it could be a dud. I was so pleasantly surprised! The staff was incredibly helpful and despite the busy weekend always smiling. The location is walking distance to several great restaurants, cool bars, and cozy pubs. And because of the cruise ship terminal and convention centre all the tour buses stop out front - including the free shuttles to Grouse Mountain and Capilano Bridge. There is also an underground mall and tunnels to the skytrain system (including the Canada Line to the airport). If your visit includes liquid sunshine the skytrain will take you up to Pacific Centre Mall, Oakridge Mall, and Metro Town mall where you can hide from the rain drops. My favourite amenity of the hotel was the Pool and Hot tub - Both are outdoors and in a location where you can fully enjoy the Vancouver skyline. There are several sun lounges and it looked like there is a snack/ beverage hut as well ( it was raining on my visit so it was not open). Our room had the city view which was perfectly fine with me, and the room amenities were great - not over the top, but we had everything we wanted. Read less

Best part of the package was the transfer of our luggage to the ship which made our embarkation so much easier. We arrived around noon and were able to spend time walking and exploring the port before walking to dinner a few blocks away. I prepaid breakfast at a discount which was well worth it. Late checkout was included in their "cruise pkg" rate along with having our bags delivered to the ship - all we had to do was take the elevator to the "ship terminal" floor below the hotel and check in. Would definitely stay again. Read less
